Hi Everyone - I'm New here
I was wondering whether anyone's kids had been on this pirate cruise and did they enjoy it? :wave2:

pirate: My DD did this last fall just before turning 5. She had a great time and would love doing it again. They followed clues and had lunch as well as finding the "loot." LOL She came back with a bandana with Mickey ears and a bunch of goodies. HTH :flower: Rebecca

My DD7 and DS9 loved it. My DD9 is doing it again in Dec. Unfortunately my DS11 is now too old and DS3 is too young.

My dd9 and dd6 both loved it. Lunch is a grape uncrustable. One of the children on the boat was allergic to PB so they got a wristband and a different lunch. For the rest of the vacation both boys kept pointing out different places they had been and Mommy and Daddy hadn't. :goodvibes They got quite a thrill out of that part, too.
Have a great trip.

My DS did this last year, he had just turned 5. He enjoyed it. It last about 2 hours, they have PB&J lunch, he got a pirate mickey ear's hat and a "treasure box" of trinkets at the end. Just a bunch of big rings, bracelets, coins, etc... etc....

DH and I went and rode some rides while he was on the cruise, they give you a beeper. I'd say if your child is interested, let them do it, the CM's are great with the kids. I'd call right away though, as they book VERY VERY quickly. I know we had to pay a deposit when we booked, I think they still do this. Anyway, if you know your dates, and want to do it, call and book SOON!!!!

Hi!

My boys did the GF Pirate Cruise just this pass July - they loved it! We are planning to book them on this again in December.

Have a great time!

DS9 went on the cruise in May. I was worried that he would not enjoy it because he was older but he loved it. When we were leaving he asked if he could go again the next day.

Thank you all very much for letting me know about the pirate cruise - have booked for the kids in November this year ! :cheer2:

My son just turned 5 last year and he loved it (he also tends to be a little shy)! It was all he talked about. We have booked the Albratross Cruise in November as a surprise for him.

I hope your children have a blast! pirate:

Who do I call to make reservations for the Pirate Cruise? Do you have to be staying at the GF or onsite? Thanks

Is there also a pirate cruise out of the Beach Club? If there is, is one better than the other or pretty much the same?

What are the ages for the pirate cruise? Where do I find out more about it---price, times, etc..

ages are 3 yrs. to 10 years. There is a pirate cruise out of the GF and a very similiar 'albatross cruise' out of beach club. I think they run around 30 dollars or so per person. They book VERY fast because they only take 10-20 kids. I would recommend calling the wdw-dine number at you 90 day mark if you want to make sure you can get it. They are also only offered 2-3 times per week.

You can use the same number that you use for ADR's. You don't have to be staying onsite.

I believe the ages are 4-10 years.

They were 4-10 last year when DS did it alone, but when I called for the Albatross Cruise a few weeks ago they told me 3 (and potty trained) to 10. Maybe the two have different ages or maybe Disney lowered it. I know the cooking adventure is 4.
