"Kids Picks" Question?

On the kids menus they have a list of items they can choose: one app., one entree and one dessert for the price of around $7.50. It also mentions fries and soda pop is available on request. What does this mean? They can substitute a choice with fries or pop for that price, or they can "also" have fries and pop with the meal for an additional charge.

Thanks to anyone who can explain what is meant.

From my experience last summer, the kids meals came with 'healthy' options like juice/milk and veggies, but if you requested they would serve pop INSTEAD of the juice or milk, and fries INSTEAD of the veggies. I was actually really impressed that healthy was the standard, and you had to request junky:thumbsup2

That's correct. The choices listed are the healthy ones which I'm sure Disney hopes that parents will think are the only options. However, you can freely substitute one item for fries and the drink for soda.

Now, if Disney can just understand that not every person on earth wants a wheat hot dog bun, I'd be happy. But that's another topic.
