Kids ordering off adult menu

If I don't like the appetizers on the adult menu, I'll often order the chicken soup off the kid's one. Even if it's not listed, it's always available. Caesar salad is also always available even if not on the menu. We cruised with a friend twice who had it absolutely every single solitary night on both our 10 day and 11 day cruise. The servers didn't even bother to ask after the first night.

We also had a couple at our table on one of our Med cruises who didn't like many vegetables except asparagus so the server started bringing out a plate of it at every meal and they shared with the table.

The meat was horribly overcooked on the kids menu so our server got my son a steak off the adult menu - but it took a bit longer.

We learned on our first cruise to never order the steak off the kids menu. They are not good cuts and always overdone. DD will order the mac and cheese, chicken fingers, and fries from the kids' menu, but everything else she orders from the adult menu. I've gotten her to try lots of new foods on our cruises. She discovered she loves french onion soup, but never wants to try escargot again.

"Kids' menu" is really just a suggestion, saying that these are things the kids might like if they don't want the regular items. Anyone can order anything.
