Kids nite out reviews?

Hubby and I are thinking of going to dinner alone while on our trip (Le Cellier or boma, not sure yet, if you have suggestions chime in!) and were looking at kids nite out.

While yes the website is great and all, but I need reviews from real people, lol!

Anyone use them? The good, the bad, I wanna hear it all!

We used Kids Nite Out and thought they were great. We have a son that has special needs and they were able to link us with a capable sitter for him (and DW is very picky on who gets to watch him). She was very good with our daughter, who was worried about us going. The sitter brought her bag full of "goodies" that help keep the kids entertained while we were out. We would use them again next time we are in the area.

I used them when we were at Disney in December (of 08). I have 2 kids who were 1 and 3 at the time. We were staying in the cabins at Fort Wilderness.

I have never left my kids with anyone besides grandma and I was SO paranoid!!

I called several times and asked about background checks...experiece...certification...etc. Every time I called they were super nice and I felt at ease.

You can pick a "type" of sitter, man/woman...college age/mom age/grandmother age I know it varies, you get the point...).

24 hours before you are assigned a sitter and can call back to get his/her name and find out specific details about him/her.

Our sitter was a grandmother of 2 young kids and brought a suitcase full of age appropriate toys with her. She was great and I would recommend the service to anyone.

It was pretty expensive which was the only drawback. They are also not permitted to take the kids swimming or give baths.

We have used them as well. The sitter brings a big bag of things to keep kids entertained, and our kids did great. The girl was very nice, and I would recommend them.
