Kids Nite Out - Feed the sitter?

I am not used to using babysitters so I'm not sure how this works. If the Kids Nite Out sitter arrives at 6 PM, do we need to arrange for her to be fed? I was thinking we would probably feed the boys (ages 4.5 and 20 months) earlier or have food in the room for them. It is tough enough for the two of us to take them out to the hotel CS to eat, so I was trying to spare her that trip. What do you usually do? Or should I order a room service pizza for all of them? That sounds expensive.

And how much should we tip?

Thanks!

Could you do munchie type things? Crackers or fruit or bagels or something and tell her to help herself?

When we used Kids Nite out--We left money for food for the kids and sitter. We stayed offsite in a villa. I had her order food and have it delivered to villa. She was great with the kids. Would definately use the service again!!!:)

I asked the girls who watched our twins (they were only 10 months old at the time, so we used two sitters) what usually happens. They said since people usually forget to feed them, they almost always bring food. I was prepared though, and had pre-made sandwiches, chips, cookies, bottled water, cokes. Well, anything you could want. I always want to make the people who are taking care of my kids happy, and if food helps (and how could it not?), then I'll provide it.

If you don't have a fridge in your room, order pizza. Have plenty of drinks as well. Even if she brings her own stuff, it shows you went to the effort.

As for tips, it's standard to tip whatever they get per hour as a tip.

It is expensive (especially times two) but we just considered this our splurge for the trip.

Have fun on your night out!

Hmm... our little one will only be 14 months so he wouldn't eat pizza. Well, maybe half a slice. I wonder what I could leave for the sitter to eat? We'll be at POP and won't have a fridge.

Are you having them go out of the room and explore? Maybe leave some money so she can get dinner and he can get a snack at the Food Court if he already ate lunch. It will give them something to do!
