I am looking for restaurants that have children's menus for under age 12:confused3 . We have 3 children and one is 14 and doesn't qualify in any restuarant. The fact that she has to order of adult menus starts to add up:scared1: . Our other dd is 11, and it would be so much better for our wallets if we could find a place where she can eat off the kid's menu;) . I found last time we went, most restaurants had menus for 10 and under and at that time, she was 10 so no big deal.

We are staying off site so I am open to any restaurant.:goodvibes

ive never seen a restaurant card a child, they can order off any menu they wish at any age. in fact i serve at an UNO and weve had adults order off the kids menu, they arent turned away.

I have an 18 year old that eats off the kids menus. I always ask and sometimes they dont care, others places say no. It never hurts to ask. I know that Cracker Barrel does not mind if anyone orders a kids meal. She also orders a kids meal at Abuelos. Im not sure what chains are in FL that we have but those are two of them. Also, of course, any fast food place. She also orders kids meals at Disney on property. They dont care.

Hi!
When we visited in Jan, our dd11 ordered from children's menus at every WDW restaurant. No one questioned, and even a few servers asked!

We do DDP and in WDW "kids" stop at 10. My 11 year old (will be 12 this year) tried ordering off the adult menu, (after all she was an adult now  ) but found she was happier with the kids portion and selection in most restaurants. We just have to suck up the costs.

Thanks for the responses:goodvibes . The reason I ask is because a few years ago, we ate at an off site restaurant and my daughter ordered off the kid's menu. She was 10 at the time, but was very tall and looked alot older. When she ordered the waitress asked us if she was 10 or under. :confused3

I guess I just assumed that they wouldn't allow my 11yo to order off a children's menu if it is for 10 and under. She often doesn't like the adult menu selections so this is good news.

I have the opposite problem. My DS did not come with the kid likes no PB&J, hot dogs, chicken nugets or hamburgers. We do more of the Buffets so he can get what he wants. :thumbsup2

My dd's were 10 and 12 last trip (April 08) and my 12you had no trouble ordering from the kdis menu if they wanted to. I was paying OOP (no dining program) and asked the server ahead of time so we could be prepared with an alternative.

I will say the kids menus at WDW are very limited (IMHO) so you may want to consider other options. My dd's will often split a regular meal, or split an appetizer and salad or soup instead of a kids meal.

I wish our 8 year old were satisfied with a kids' plate. He can eat me under the table!

If he gets a kids' meal, he asks for food within 2 hours.

Quite honestly, DH and I often split a meal, so I don't understand why you couldn't order from the kids' menu for an older child. It is better for them than splitting your meal with your child.

Oh, and BTW: Cracker Barrel allows ANY AGE to order from the kids' menu!

My DD 12 orders from kid's menus all the time. If she wants to expand her choices, her and I share something from the regular menu. We then order dessert to share as a family. DH makes sure I get an extra bite of the dessert if my "half" of the meal was a bit small.

This has allowed DD to try lots of new foods and we are not paying $30+ to feed our family of 3.
