I was looking at the menus for CP & CM. I see they have a kids buffets as well as the adult buffet. Do the kids have to eat off the kids buffet or can they eat off both? My dd loves shrimp and would be really unhappy if she couldn't eat it cuz it's on the adult buffet. Also dd is allergic to nuts. Who do we tell at the restaurants about her allergy? TIA

Kid's and adults can mix and match from anything they want at any buffet... no limitations.

At a buffet, it is not a separate "kids menu." They just like to put the kid food in a place where the kids can easily find it and sometimes where they can reach it themselves. Anyone can eat anything they want off any section of a Disney buffet.

DH always eats from the kids section of the buffet...He loves the simple selections...My little one loves to eat from the adult selections because he likes to try new things and he likes to eat what I eat...The Disney buffets are great because you can mix and match and they have something for everyone.

You should note it on your reservation that there is an allergy involved. Your server should then mention it when you are seated and bring the chef out. The Chef will walk you through the buffet letting you know what dd can eat and what she cannot. If there isn't enough on the buffet or if you prefer they will make a special plate for her and bring it out

There is no such thing as a "kids buffet" or even an "adult buffet" at Disney. They have buffets with one section lower to the floor which has on it items that kids tend to enjoy (such as pizza, hot dogs, chicken strips, mac & cheese, etc.). Any person at the buffet (including children less than age three who are free) can get anything from any part of the buffet.

I would suggest going to the disABILITIES Forum and look at Post #3 of the disABILITIES FAQs. There is a large section in that post dealing with special dietary needs, as well as many related links. You can get directly to the disABILITIES FAQs by following the link in my signature.

This is a very common topic of discussion in the disABILITIES Forum.
