Our children are 10 & 7. When dining at the restaurants for supper do the children have to order off the kids menu or can they order off the same menu as the adults? The menus I saw for the kids didn't seem to have much variety.

Thanks,
Misty

They can do either, or, or both even! And you can order off the kids menu. Goodness knows I ordered dessert off there a few times... *wink*

mmm...Mickey Ice Cream Bar.

My DD (11) is looking forward to ordering things she has never tried before off of the adult menu but having the kid's menu as a backup in case she doesn't like it!!

My kids would order a main item (say a steak) from the adult menu and then add mac and cheese or chicken noodle soup from the kids menu - you can mix and match on one plate - it is really super and relaxing for parents - good servers will help your kids mix and match without you (if you wish)

You can even order something that's not on either menu. We ordered grilled cheese every night for my grilled cheese girl. No problem - they just had room service make it.

They are also glad to make some alterations in the adult menu for kids; for example, you can ask to have sauces and garnishes left off, as many kids prefer plainer fare, or you can request a half portion. If you see something relatively standard and ask for it for the next night, that seems to be easy for them as well. I know when I didn't eat all the lettuce in my salad the first night, our server asked if it was because I didn't like some of the types of lettuce (it wasn't...I was just pacing myself!), and he told me that if that was the case they would be glad to have it prepared differently on the following nights. One evening when they had quesadillas with green onion in them, we asked about getting one w/o the green onion for ds; we weren't successful, but I bet if we'd asked if they could have one the next evening they'd have served it w/o a problem. On the other hand, once our server discovered ds liked strawberries (not on the menu the night ds asked for them, but provided anyway), he had a bowl of berries waiting for ds every evening!
