Does anyone know what the prices are for a counter service kids meal.

Oh boy, that is a big raise, last we where there (june 2012) it was €6.10 on our first day and € 7.... on our last day.

If i look at the menus on different sites the all give prices between €5.70 and €6.10.

counter service kids meals are still no more than 7 euros - that was the price in February this year anyway.

My apologies, only bought a couple of kids meals last year as I took my niece and nephew so don't normally buy them.

I may just have them noted in my DLP Planning notebook :rolleyes1

It depends on which CS you choose but Au Chalet du Marionette, Col Haithi's, Fuento del Oro, Toad Hall come in at €6.10 per child.

How many are going? I've done up pricings for 1 adult 1 child (and with discounts) for most lunch time options but in Blockbuster, Bella Notte, Victoria's and the Market House Deli I was leaning towards going off menu so the prices I have are tailored moreso to our fussy tastes (or my money saving!)

In general anything up to €9 is standard per child with the majority being between €6.10 and €7.50.

If I'm not planning it out 100% I allow €7.50 per child for lunch and that gives you some wiggle room in your budget.

On another note if you are watching your budget the Sports Bar in the Village is a great option. We (1+1 aged 7) shared a pizza and a kids pasta Bolognese meal (came with garlic bread, a drink and dessert) and it was tasty and filling and not more then €20.

Hope this helps

We are 2 adults and as i am a light eater i take a kids meal, on our last vacation we paid €6.10 a meal and than on our last day it went up to €7.50 i think.
My husband figured for himself that if he takes 2 kids meals he gets 2 fries, and 2 different burgers and a drink during the meal and a bottle of water for later in the day, and the dessert, it is cheaper than a adult meal.

I'm a light eater too and was wondering whether I could purchase a kids meal; as we are two adults too. Did anyone ever question you buying only kids meals?? Thanks:thumbsup2

Hi,

I nevr been questioned and for the last 5 years i bought kids meals at CS for me and an adult meal for my husband.
Last vacation we bought 3 kids meals every meal, one for me and 2 for my husband and never been questioned.

Thanks - we're aiming on having ts adult meals but usually they are so big portion wise to what I would eat at home that I only want a small bite to eat at lunch-time; so this is brilliant as it will save me money and I won't waste any food either!:cool1:

When I was there in September with my best friend, we weren't allowed a kids meal as 2 adults!
We both wanted one seeing as we are fussy and light eaters yet we had a veeeeeery bad tempered lady taking our order at Café Hyperion and she wouldn't let us have one, she kept pointing at the line saying (in miniature print, might I ad!) that they are only for under 12's. I tried arguing with her that I have always taken them and have never been refused one, but she didn't budge. :sad2:

I think I would have just told that CM that the kids meals were for my kids, and I was ordering just for them ;).

That is what I would have done. I have never had a problem ordering a kids meal when I have been with my niece and nephew, and they were never at the counter they were sitting at a table so the staff wouldn't have known whether the meal was for a child or not.

That could be a solution, but then what are you gonna do when she says "okay, go get them and its fine?" I can't exactly borrow someone else's kids. :rotfl:

why would she say that :confused3? I've never had anyone do that when I've been buying food for my children at DLP.

If the CM is being a jobsworth (as there are everywhere in the world) thats the point I'd be walking off and taking my money to another restaurant.
