My kids all have a version of the PB kids classic lunch bag. Last year I had the easy lunch boxes for their old lunch bags but they do not fit in these. Any suggestions of a cost effective solution or similar item that will work???

Can you clarify? Are easy lunch boxes containers or a system? I like the Sistema Klip Its, they come in many configurations, have a tight seal and are easy to open and close.

Easy lunch boxes are a container based tray with 3 dividers. I used these beforehand and fit in an older style of lunch box from LL Bean. I will look into the sistema clip its but I liked have only on container for them to open since they only get 20 minutes for lunch.

In case anyone's interested, Marshall's and Home Goods had a bunch of sistema the other day for great prices (much less than Amazon).

My 1st grader has been using this bag: https://www.amazon.com/Rubbermaid-LunchBlox-Lunch-Medium-1813501/dp/B0078K40OC
to carry his easylunchbox.com container since Kindergarten and it is still holding up great. I really like that it has a side mesh pocket for his drink bottle too. It can easily fit the lunch container, a large flat blue ice pack, and still have room to spare for some extras.

Yes we bought new lunch boxes this year from PB Kids and Teen already because they were essentially free with a ton of coupons we had laying around.

Whoops. Sorry, I misread that you were looking for a new container vs. Bag! I haven't seen anything similar to the easy lunchbox besides a Rubbermaid 2 compartment container. Ziploc discontinued their 3 compartment container a couple years ago. Maybe you could take the PB kids bag to Walmart or target and see what fits and what doesn't. Good luck!

My son's starting school this year, and we got him a PB classic bag! We're using the Rubbermaid Lunchblox kit in it. Picked up at Walmart for I want to say around $7. It is more than one container though. I originally just wanted to get him one of the divided containers, but then I saw these and thought they'd be more useful. He has a thermos for hot lunches, so on days he gets that, I can still pack other things in the smaller containers and they'll all fit. I've been seeing the plastic bento style containers everywhere though for cheap...Target, Walmart, etc. A lot of them seem the right size for the bag.
