Kids luggage

My son has the rolling Handy Manny suitcase, but it just isnt big enough anymore. Im looking for something bigger, but I want it to be "FUN". Anyone have any suggestions on something that wont break the bank. He has a bday in Jan and thought this might be a fun gift.

we have had crappy suitcases for kids that didnt last for more than a year. very frusterating. anyway, we ended up investing (yeah, they aren't cheap) in the pottery barn kids luggage for my kids. i did get them embroidered. honestly, they are nicer than my samsonite. very high quality and worth the money! i'm actually eyeing a set on PB teen myself!

We use our Dora suitcase as a carryon for DD. And then I have a basic big suitcase for her clothes that we check.

Not sure how big you need the luggage to be. But here is what I bought my nephews, who are 2 and 4:

1 rolling case with a backpack and it looks like a penguin. Total cost: just over $30 at wal-mart.

Have you looked at the Disney luggage. I got a 3 peice set tha has a large suitcase and then a rolling duffle that is huge. It also came with a tote. The duffle will be great for going to gmas and then you have the large one for vacations when needed.

We loved the first set of this that we bought that I've since bought two more. Frequently you can find deals to get these at a really good price!! And I really like the way they can expand.

We bought our boys the small LLBean rolling duffles when they outgrew their little spiderman ones. I found them at the outlet so the price could not be beat. They will really last and the boys will not mind the simple but bright colors even when they are older. Having now used them I would happily pay full price for one, they are that durable.

That's exactly what I was going to suggest. The character luggage is so cheaply made, I'd go with the duffels that will last for years! My DH and I actually got the Large rolling ones as our gifts from my mom this Christmas. We love them!

They have hard top Disney themed kids luggage at AAA. IF you are a member, they are a little less than $50 bucks. Very nice and cute.
