Kids in casts

Well Madison went for a trip to the hospital today to get her leg looked at and now she has a cast from her toes to her hip almost. She broke her leg just below the knee jumping on the trampoline. she has her first cast on for a week them has to go see the bone specialist and gets another one after that not sure for how long though.

How awful! Is it one of those heavy plaster casts like DS had when he broke his leg just before our WDW trip last year? Those things are wretched.

Yep that is the one if she went to UH here in London she would have gotten a fiberglass one stronger and lighter but she didn't. So do they have kids sized wheelchairs at the Toronto Zoo so we can push her around at the zoo meet?

I believe they do have wheelchairs at the zoo but you might want to call just to confirm.

What a terrible time of year for that to happen to her. Did she go to Children's? That's where we've always gone, and Molly had the removable fibreglass one the last time she broke her arm. Much nice than when she had the plaster type. Hugs, and hopefully, it won't be on too long. Hugs to the DD.

Thanks everyone she recieved a wheelchair tonight and loves getting all the attention from everyone all the neighbourhood kids were pushing her around in it tonight. See everyone at the zoo. We will need some DIS friends to sign her cast.

So sorry to hear that it is actually broken ... although you kind of suspected it when I saw you on Friday. {{{HUGS}}} to Madison from all of us. Hopefully it won't be too long for her. My nephew broke his leg last summer and it was only on for less than a month.

Well she goes in a week to get the first one off and checked out by the bone specialist. After this one is off we are asking for a fiberglass one even if we have to pay for it it will be well worth it.
