i see in the navigator that it's called something else, but do they still have the t-shirts to give away for the kids that participate in that grand finale show they put on, on the last day of the 7 night cruise? just curious! :flower:

They just had it on our 4 day cruise. They get the Disney Sea University tee shirts and a Mickey graduation hat!! It was the cutest thing. The most unexpected surprise of the whole trip. I had never heard anyone mention it before. I'm so glad i didn't miss it!
The video they showed was adorable, I wish they made copies available.
My son was named Super Genious!

I completely agree! I cannot believe they don't have copies of the clip they show during that presentation to sell. Looks like a missed opportunity for DCL to make money!

This was so cute! They do it on the 3day on the Wonder too!! it was the icing on the cake of a great trip!!

Highlight of our trip too. It also surprised me at the number of children in the show that I had never seen in the club! I agree about the video year book thing - DD had the most adorable picture in it & as you can buy everything else I'm surprised this isn't an option too!

::yes::

On our wonder cruise we did not see GS in the clip. But on the magic he was in it about 3 different times. We would of loved to have a copy it.

DISNEY.....ARE YOU LISTENING????

HMMMM.....Maybe this is something we should all suggest to them.

Can't remember if I there was an opportunity to say anything about it on the online survey post-cruise or not? I do remember putting it on the comment card at the end of the cruise, because it was so fresh in my mind. I thought it was the cutest show and all the kids were adorable! The counselors did an awesome job keeping order to the whole procession!

I actually liked the Discovered the Magic show that they did last year better than the current one. I tear up every time the kids watch the video and the song comes on. I didn't cry with the last one...maybe that is for the better though. LOL! DH taped the show & the video on the big screen. It came out really well. DS was the "most relaxed". They showed him sleeping against a tree on CC. He told me that they told him to do that, he wasn't really tired that early in the morning.

It was great on our 7 night cruise. I thought that was a good way to get parents to sit in for the disembarkation talk because the D Sea U graduation ceremony started right after the talk finished.

You never know just how many kids are on that ship until that last night. Wow, there were ALOT!

My girls loved that show. When we were there in 2002, my DD's were 6 and 4. DD 6 learned how to do M*I*C*K*E*Y M*O*U*S*E in sign language. She can still do it to this day - she is now 9.

That was the highlight of the cruise for them.

I love the final show with the kids too. We just went in December and I thought it was so cute! I am booking another cruise for spring break 2006 and my twin DDs will be 12 1/2. I made them promise that even if they think they are 'too old' for it, that they will do that show one last time for me (it will be our 7th cruise, our last one with them in the kids program). I am going to be VERY emotional on that cruise. Their last time in the Lab, the last time in the kids program, the last time I will be paying the child's rate for them :earseek: !

You can video the kids show?? I thought you couldn't tape any of the "performances". I'm sure they really only want to protect their stage productions like the Golden Mickeys, etc. I'm glad we can do that-- we'll plan to be there with our new camcorder in hand!

yes, you may record it....the D Sea U Graduation wasn't a "show" show. It was just the kids all wearing their D Sea U tees & caps marching to the stage one group at a time. Then Mickey & Minnie comes out and talks a little, sing a little and that's that. Then they go back to the kids club and that's when the line is very long to get them out in time for the main seating dinner or second seating "Farewell Show".

LOL I was thinking the same thing!
BTW, do you know they show the disembarkment speech on the TV in your room, over & over again?

Does anyone know the name of the song they play during the slideshow showing the kids' activities during the cruise? It was really catchy and fit the show just right.

I was amazed at the number of kids who got up on the stage. My daughter came in a secret entrance at the lower right of the theatre so I almost missed her since I was watching both of the aisles.

What a great event - it was one of our favorite parts of the cruise. She's so proud of her graduation cap with ears and her "D Sea U" t-shirt!

Well, I know that it keeps saying that "I'm on my way." but I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Maybe the former supervisor can tell us where to find it. :)

I would sit through the speech. We got front row for the show because we sat through it. I ordered a few beers from the bar and listening to them talk about how to get off of the ship, but also got the best view ever for the kids show. I thought it was kind of goofy but my daughter was so proud to be on stage with Mickey and Minnie that it could have been the silliest thing ever and I would not have missed it!

I am fairly sure the song from the kid's show is "On My Way", by Phil Collins from the movie Brother Bear. It is catchy; talks about 'new friends and people to see' and 'can't keep the smile off my face'. It is a really cute scene from the movie.

OH THANK YOU!!!!! I want to use it for our own CD of pictures from the cruise and it will be great to be able to get the words to use in our scrapbook. :)

How much time do the kids need to spend in the clubs to be a part of this? Or is it something that is listed on a Navigator so they know when to be there? :confused3
