Hello,

Just posting a head's up on the Universal Tickets website, I noticed they have officially changed the wording on the kid's free tickets from "tickets must be used by April 30, 2006" to "tickets must be used by Dec. 31, 2006". Now people planning for the summer can get in on this deal...of course anyone here who knows Phantom knew they would be good after April 30th anyway! ;)

Also, I bought my tickets today, b/c Universal just announced a ticket increase, and I wasn't sure what would be happening to my $99/2 day ticket rate.

On the Universal website, they state that the tickets "never expire". Are they saying you have to use the ticket for one day, and that the second day doesn't expire? I presumed (I know, dangerous to do, LOL) they meant BOTH days (and that obviously, the only way you get the "3 free days" is if used in tandem and on same trip as the two purchased days. SO if you use one day only, you take home a ticket that is good for one more day. If you instead use the ticket for 2,3,4, or 5 days, you have nothing left to "tkae home" (except a used ticket!)

We are in a pickel because we have a fam of 5 - I was debating between getting 3 adult tix (our eldest classifes as an adult anyway) and just saving one kid ticket for a later date, or getting 2 adult tix (and the 2 "free" kid tix) and then getting one adult PAP. If the buy-one-get-one tix are NOT good past 2006, then obviously I'd opt for the PAP route.

Speaking of which - anyone know, is there any discount on these kind of tix if you have a PAP? Would I save anything by getting a PAP, and THEN using any perk from it to get my additional tix?

I'm still doing the math to figure out if a PAP will be worth it. From a food perspective, it may pay for itself, if you get 10-15% off at most restaurants. Also a room discount would be good - I'm sure 3-4 nights of on-site accommodations is gonna hurt to someone used to using DVC "points" for their vacations, LOL!

The 5 day tickets expire 4 days after the first use. So you get 5 full days but if you miss going to the park for a day, then you lose the day.

So if you use the first day on a Monday, the last day you can use the ticket is on Friday.

There are some two day non-expiring tickets also on the website. They do not include the 3 free days. These regular two day tickets won't expire after the first use. You can save the second day for your next trip. A rule of thumb: if you get free days, your ticket will expire. If you buy a ticket that doesn't include free days, it won't expire.
