DM is thinking about applying for the DV, as the Kids Free discount seems to be the best deal for us at this point. I have a few questions:

- I have read that the free tix are maxed out at 5-days. What about the dining plan?

- Can we upgrade the 5-day free tix to 7-days, even if our ressie is for 5 nights? My kids discovered AKL last night and I am thinking about adding two SV nights to the end of our trip--especially if the kids free dining plan would max out at 5 days.

- I assume since the offer lasts into Aug, that even if she applies now we will still be able to use it, yes? Is there any 'wait time' from when you get the card until when you can take advantage of the dicounts?

Also, does Chase do instant approvals for the DV or do they seem to prefer making you wait on a manual review?

see my post on here from today. I did a 8 day 7 night with the deal-it is not a max at 5

Rebooked from 30% off moderate deal (POR) - 7 nights, also added hopper wp&mm and upgraded to DDP from QS - saved over $400 over the % off deal.

So you can do more than 5. If you have a trip date and resort in mind, call WDW and have em price it out.

Dont remember how long it took to get the card - wasnt long. Im sure there's no waiting period.

hey a neighbor from upstate-I am in Granville near Glens Falls:)
I remember that I got approved pretty quick so I wouldn't worry about that. The savings for a week of tickets and food for 3 kids was over $800 so the visa deal worked better for us than the % off BUT if you do not have kids in that range no luck:headache:
I posted our price in the other thread but here it is-
7 nights/8 days at Port Orleans for 3 kids(age 5,7,9) and 2 adults,7 day park hoppers and an upgrade to the plus dining plan costs $2947.58:thumbsup2

Okay, so you CAN do this deal with 2A/3C or 3A/3C in 1 room. We have 3 kids in that age range (3,5,7 at the time of the trip.) I was under the impression that it might be restricted to one free child per paying adult and no more than 4 people in a room (so, essentially, no more than 2 free kids per room.) I was wondering if it would be good at, say, the cabins with 3A/3C. Right now my mom is planning on taking an extra 11 and 13 year old, which would take the cabins out of the equation, but they may or may not go at this point.

Does anyone know specifically if you can upgrade the free tix past 5 days, even if the ressie is only for 5 days (so book a 5 day room and 7 day tix with the deal)? We were thinking of 2 nights at AKL after. Paying for 2 extra days is not a problem, I just don't want to pay for 3 new 2-day tickets.

you can get the 7-day upgraded tickets. I'm staying 6 nights nad they wanted to give us 7 day tickets.

I'd say mine took almost a month, I applied then about 3 weeks later got a letter stating they needed a copy of my social, proof of address, and birthdate. Then a week after that I received my card.

Yes - We have 8 day PH WP&M tickets, so you can add above the 5. Also, were staying at POR for 7 nights and have DDP. We have 3 kids within the offer range, so it was perfect for us and really good savings. The trip we originally booked last August at $4,300 (without air) is now down to $3,400.

Call WDW and jsut have them price it out for you with the code - then you will know exactly what it will cost you, but with your kids ages from your signature, I'm guessing it's going to be really good.

one question here:
i called and was told it is only one child free per adult, is that correct?
we have 3 in age range so could mean about another $300 savings if we can get all three free.
thanks,
mikewdw

I assumed it would be, since that is how the PIN codes for kids free is; however, 1 or 2 people have said they got POR with 2 adults and all 3 kids free. Luckily, we are travelling with my mom, so if we do take advantage of this offer, we can still get all of ours free.

All 3 would be free even if 1 parent goes. I am planning to go alone with my2 dds and they would both be free. Good luck!

lots of questions on this deal have already been answered on this and other threads so I would encourage everyone to read lots of tips before making decisions.
Yes you can upgrade to better dining and park hoppers-yes you can have more than one kid per parent.

This is a great deal if you have kids in the range! If not I would def. go for the 30 or 40% off deal(the numbers are better most of the time)
Before this deal was announced I was pricing using the 40% off offer for the deluxe resorts.I had a price of $4316 for 7 nights/8 days at the Poly ,for 2 adults and 3 kids with dining plan and hopper tickets.
