Kids free and a ticket question

Ok, here's a question I haven't been able to find and trust me, I searched!

We are a family of 4 planning to go to WDW with the kid's free promotion. It's DH, myself, DD17 and DD8. I know DD17 won't qualify for the kid's free ticket, plus she's saying she only wants to go to one park (DHS) and instead wants to hang out by the pool the other days (she is the sleep til noon, lay around on vacation type of girl). So my question is this, if I book the promotion with all of us getting the one day ticket can I upgrade just DH, myself and DD8 to 4 days? Will they upgrade her free one day ticket to a free 4 day ticket? Will everyone in the room have to have the same ticket package?

I would call and ask a CM, but with all the pin confusion everyone's been hearing, I'm scared to!

Everyone on the package has to have the same number of days. You can buy 4 1-day tickets now and upgrade three of them at the gate, but you will have to pay to upgrade your 4 year old's ticket. Either way, your gonna have to pay to upgrade someone, but the 17 year old's ticket will cost slightly more. Still, it might be good to have day on her ticket just in case she changes her mind.
