I am considering a trip in April. But everytime I try to get pricing for the kid travel free, I can't find anything.

It will only be my son and I. Did I miss some fine print somewhere?
All the Disney trip planner sites add over $500 more for airfare.
So I don't see how that works out to a kid flying free.

So is the fly free only with resort hotel bookings? If so, how do I apply the discount during booking?

Any help would be great.

Did you check on the Alaskan Airlines website??

The problem with the Alaskia air web sit, unlike the DL web site or AAA, that you can't tell which flight is kids fly free. There are limited seats, and some blackout dates in April, the thing to do is call Alaska Air Vacations, they can tell you what is what.....

Which markets/airlines are participating???

Alaska air is participating, and United might be. I say "might be" because Disney had a press release that said United is. But, you can't find anything on the United sight. My friend called and they said Disney announced it too early. They said it would be on their site in 2 weeks, but that was a month ago- and still nothing! NOt sure on the markets.

The fares for the adult ticket on a kids fly free rate, are the full fare rates. So, sometimes its better to just book and pay for the child rather then the free rate. I've had the best luck with SEA to LGB (long beach) as they typically arent as busy and have more of the slightly cheap adult tickets avaible.

I usually go to the Alaska site or travelocity and look for cheap sites. Get the flight numbers and times for the cheap flights, then use those when you put the info in the Disney site. I've found that I can usually get the best price that way.

We used a travel agent when we took advantage of that offer, so I can't help you with that. Do you have AAA? I bet if you booked through them, you would get Kids Fly Free, plus the discounted hotel, etc.

The deal with the kids fly free is that each airport (depending on the size) only has so many free seats. If it is a smaller airport, there are less seats. I just made our reservations and found out after talking to Alaska Airlines directly that if I flew out of a bigger airport there were alot more seats. You just have to kind of play around with dates to see what the fare comes up at to know if the kids are flying free or not. Or, you can call Alaska Airlines directly and they will play around with dates for you (if you have a few different times you can fly). Also the trick is to fly into an airport OTHER than LAX. If you fly into Orange County or Long Beach, the fare goes down considerably and there are lots of kids fly free seats.
