It has been almost 3 years since the last time we ate at Ohana's. I have reservations there for our upcoming trip and my two youngest (9 year old twins) are saying they didn't care for the food last time and don't want to go back. They were 6 when they ate there last.

I hate to cancel the reservations since they are so hard to get. I did like the food when we ate there but I don't want to pay out of pocket for their meals only for them to not eat leaving me to have to buy them a burger when we leave.

They aren't picky eaters usually. They just say they didn't like the taste of the food. Anyone else run into this? Any chance of them liking it now? Are there food alternatives for kids at Ohana's if they don't like the regular menu?

For my kids, ages 3 and 5, I always order chicken nuggets and fries because they wont eat anything else that's served. You just have to ask. They might have other choices, I don't know. We have eaten there 4 or 5 times this year and I always ask for chicken nuggets.

We've done the same thing too, but last time the kids actually enjoyed the food. As My DD8 put it "I have different taste buds now, daddy". So maybe your kids do too ;)

There are a lot of restaurant choices at wdw; if my kids didn't want to eat at one of them, I would honor that. Who cares if it's a tough ressie? Maybe you could try somewhere new that you could all enjoy

Ohana has tons of kids' options - they used to offer them automatically, but lately we needed to request them. The list of available kids' items is relatively long and includes lots of choices for our pickiest eater.

Ohana dinner used to be part of our regular rotation, but we've dropped it for a few reasons. Our two older boys (ages 11 and 12) don't care for the food much - one is very picky and the other is a very adventurous eater. They are "Disney adults" so it's no longer a great value. At this stage, they said they don't like the games and the entertainment part of it anymore. And they are extremely festive very good sports - they still love character meals (including Ohana breakfast) - they just aren't into the games and the loud atmosphere at Ohana. By contrast, our 4-year-old loves everything about it!

But I agree with the previous poster - there are so many choices at WDW that we can easily find other restaurants that everyone enjoys. That's what I'd prefer to do. I really enjoy the food at Ohana, but there are lots of places that are as good or far better. Another option if you enjoy the food is to stop at Kona for lunch - they offer some of the Ohana menu items there - and we all love Kona!

Hope that helps - good luck with your decision!

'Ohana for breakfast is fun for kids: mickey waffles, scrambled eggs that are to die for and "magic juice". I'll take it any day over Chef Mickey's and I'm well beyond the kid age. :D

'Ohana for dinner is really a meat lovers paradise. Many kids Are typically not big on meat. There are veggies and noodles but you know your kids best. ;)

Our waiter had no problem bringing out a couple of hot dogs and fries for our son who is not an adventurous eater. We all had a great meal and the atmosphere was great....especially since we were able to watch Wishes from our table.

My son always orders from kids menu at Ohana because he does not like meat, you just have to ask your server. I think he usually gets grilled cheese and the servers have always told us he welcome to eat the sides and dessert also. I would not skip it, because there are other food choices for kids.
