Kids Disney Boutique / Customs Clothes Part 5

Ok so I finally got inspiration for the eye spy stuff to put in the bags. Our house is pretty baby proof so we don't usually keep any teeny tiny things around so here is what I came up with.
DS stuff list:
47b7cc31b3127cceb1f988fd5b4800000025101AZsXLhszbMY

DD stuff list:
47b7cc31b3127cceb1f98b8f9a9300000026101AZsXLhszbMY

The bags:
47b7cc31b3127cceb1f87703ba2d00000026101AZsXLhszbMY
47b7cc31b3127cceb1f877b5ba9b00000026101AZsXLhszbMY

I did however save the zippy bags that ds underoos came in so that was what I used to put the stuff in then I made a fleece cover for them. And the little one was from a little deck of cards from wdw. The stickers were from old valentines cards, I made them thicker by sticking them on card stock and laminating them with contact paper. There is ribbon in ds as a filler until I get some more beads.
The kids already love them- Thanks ladies for the Awesome Idea!!!

Those look cute! I like the beads you used for filler. Did you tape the pin shut? I want to make a few more of these. Unfortunately, I have NO problem finding lots of little things to put in ours! Our house if a mess, there are things everywhere!

SMOCKING IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!

I have the Disney Brother SE270D machine. I'm trying to smock the top of a dress, but the thread keeps tangling and wadding the dress fabric up in the machine! :headache:

I'm using stitch #25 and my thread tension is set on 5. Dh had to leave for work so my machine is just sitting there with the dress tangled up in it! :sad1: He had to fix it for me last night when it happened so I won't be able to get any sewing done today.

Please can anyone with smocking experience help me figure out what I'm doing wrong? I can tell that it is the bobbin thread getting tangled.

Don't you hate it when your machines act up on you! I hope you get it straightened out. My machines sometimes decide they are hungry and just eat my fabric for no apparent reason.

Did you ever post a picture of those Wiggle outfits finished? I would love to see them!

As far as my machine, I'm going to try the advice I was given about cleaning the lint out and getting it really clean. I'm also thinking that it has something to do with my thread tension. :confused3 I'm definitely not sewing on the dresses again until I get it working right again.

Did everyone go on vacation? It's so SLOW around here!

Ahhhh that would be the side effect of the holidays!.....no time to Dis :confused3

Anyway, I've been worried about them, and then I've been having some "brain fogs". Where I feel as if I'm just not quite "here". It almost feels like I'm half asleep. Sort of if you take cold medecine, but it just happens to me once in awhile for no discernable reason. Between the two things going on (and the headache) I haven't gotten much done!

Maybe I'm just missing my sister. :sad2:
Geeee I am really sorry to hear about your terrible headache...make sure you tell your doctor and get that checked out! Gentle hugs!

Thanks. :) It took me about 3 months of working on them. Special thanks goes to mytwotinks for teaching me how to applique.

OMGoodness.... They are so cute :) I bet they got so much attention at the show.

I have a question for you about your machine. I have the same one (Disney brother) but my manual is only in Spanish. That is a huge problem for me since I don't speak Spanish :headache: I called brother and they are sending me a new one. In the meantime would you mind telling me which stitch is the stretch stitch? I want to make a long sleeved tee shirt dress for my little darling. I would really appreciate it.

Thank you in advance.

Went on 4 night Disney cruise, then another 10 days at WL and SSR. It was wonderful, and so long that I felt like I was away forever.

15 foot waves first night of cruise...thank goodness for the scopalomine patch...was falling all over.

Mailing out my fabrics tomorrow...sorry it took me so long.

Had a wonderful time and everything was beautiful...the castle is breathtaking with the icesicle lights...and I was in a Christmas tree sharing and got a tree for one week.

Hope every one is well.

AMazing outfits ! You must be proud they are fabulous.
I have also been told that if you fully clean out your machine, lint, and oil if you have to (sergers too) after every 4-6 hours of sewing it will work great every tie. Also remember to change out that needle after every 8 - 12 hours of sewing!

Glad you had a great trip! Please can we see pics!!

The trees are all so beautiful! I love the idea of cutting one down from a tree farm. I have never had a real tree and not really interested unless maybe we did that. Unfortunately not much chance of pretty snow here while doing it.

Tom, I am sorry about your mom, Leigh's newest creation is beautiful! And what a great gift! I love the most useful gifts! DH got me my sewing machine one year for my birthday because he knew I wanted one.

Great story about the fairygodmother! And love the sewing pictures in Minnie's House.

Teresa - Heather will be back before you know it!

Mono~rail - I am sorry to ask but I am dying to know, did you end redoing the wiggles outfits for the girls? They are great and the girls are adorable.

And anyone I didn't quote! the outfits have been great! 2cutekidz - you have been just a sewing away.

Stephres - loved the story about the picture!

Is it RRRR or ARGHHH.
Wanted to write(applique) that down the left side or on the back leg.
I was planning to do a pirate Mickey on the back leg like the top one. and then a treadure map.
or I would put the treasure map on the front and the appropriate RRR on the back.
help! - Thisis to match JoJo's pirate outfit!

I am quite sure I have never seen them done. These are AMAZING!!! They really turned out fantastic! Your daughters look so adorable in them!

You sound like Heather!

The last time I went to my doctor and told him about this happening, he just said, "Hmm, that shouldn't happen."

Thanks for that advice! I didn't realize you should do it that often. I will try to do that from now on. I am also horrible about changing my needle. I don't know why, it's not like they cost that much!
Teresa - Heather will be back before you know it!
Yah went and made me all teary! I know, I know, how silly is that!

Mono~rail - I am sorry to ask but I am dying to know, did you end redoing the wiggles outfits for the girls? They are great and the girls are adorable.

I LOVE all the skirts! Where did you get the fabric with the big Mickey's? I've never seen those before.

JoJo's clothes all look adorable!

I need help guys! I need to make Dallas a penguin outfit and for the life of me I cannot find a cute penguin to base it off of. I had a card he received last year for his birthday and of course can't find it now! I have already done the surf's up guy so don't want him.
