Arminda was very upset last week when one of her friends (Tiffani by name) wasn't speaking to her. She got another friend to find out what was wrong. Tiffani wrote a not to give to Emily to give to Arminda that said, "She called me mean, and Fork Head". Arminda was so upset she was crying when she showed me this note. I on the other hand, started laughing so hard, I could barely stop! FORK HEAD??????!!???? My poor Arminda was so upset, she kept saying, "But Mom, I NEVER called her Fork Head!" Which, of course made me laugh even more! She never called her mean either, but that wasn't as funny. I finally stopped laughing enough to have a talk with Arminda and got her to see how funny Fork Head really was. And, about how all Arminda could do is tell Tiffani that she was sorry that she thought Arminda called her names, but she didn't. Then, leave it at that. Long story just a little shorter, they are friends again (for now). (Hmm, I wonder how many of you actually read that!)

I wanted to add that I tried to find a picture of Rob Lowe from our "favorite" part of The Outsiders, but I was afraid of what I'd find if I searched for "Rob Lowe shower scene" or the like.

speaking of dave foley, there was this weird kids in the hall sketch (I think it was a repeat character) that had lettuce for hair.
it was odd.
so tell her next time to call her lettuce head.

I need to know what this is! DS is grouchy about wearing his shirts because they itch. So this would help immensely. My whole clan, including myself is sensitive. I can't wear lace, dd won't wear shirring, etc. We're a bunch of spazes!

Hi! I don't remember the actual name of it..but I will describe it to you (I went into my embroidery "stuff" box and got out a piece of the WONDERFUL stuff. You can buy it at JoAnn's, it is with the BTY interfacing and stablizers. It is a fusible knit tricot ,white in color. one side has the silky feel and the other has the little knubbies of the fusible stuff. My one DGD has sensory issues and when I do any embroidery or appliques on Tee shirts for her I have to put this on or she says it is too scratchy. I also use this on anything I now do for babies. It makes the back of the applique or embroidery nice and smooth to the touch. This sensory thing is actually more common than people first thought. Nana

I watched the Monkees when they were on the "first" time. Pre Nickelodeon. Now I'm showing my age. I have a friend that absolutely LOVES Davy and we've gone to see him in concert a million times. As Teen Idols ( Peter Noone does the best show), the Monkees and Davy Jones. Dawn is an autograph hound, and Davy can be downright rude to the fans. I've seen this many times. So is Mickey Dolenz. Peter Tork likes "younger" girls. Mike Nesmith refuses to tour with them. But then he inherited all sorts of money from his Mother, she invented White-Out when she was a secretary.

I've been in Donalds Breakfastasaurus and heard the song "Buy Me a Dog", it's on a children's CD by Davy and Mickey Dolenz. It's one of my friends favorite songs. Keep your ears open if your there.

Off the Davy topic. I never heard of Kanye West until his mother passed away. All the kids around here know who is tho'. I just found out that I've worked with his Aunt for the last 3 years, and his cousin used to work for me for about 2 years. Who would have thought someone famous would have ties to little Ole Delaware?

Fork head. That's totally something I would say.

You know I just made B watch The Outsiders for the first time. He was like I'm gonna hate this, right? I was all "probably, but since it's a complete sin that your english teachers never made you read it, the least you can do is watch the movie!!"
I knew he'd hate it. I made him watch Hairspray and Crybaby (my very fave Johnny Depp pic!!!) and he hated them both, I had a feeling The Outsiders was gonna go the same way. I think he liked it well enough though.

BTW I am way too young to actually know these things.

And Heather thank you for posting pics... at dinner I was telling B about our discussion of the list. He quicky and acurately named #'s 1-3 in order!! I clearly am not discreet about my fixations. ANYWAY...He said "you posted pictures?" I said "yup" to which he then asked if anyone else did and didn't seem surprised when I said "No" just said "I figured" and silently nodded in that "your completely neurotic" kind of way.
I feel better now.

Nana ur the best!!!! You've given me such hope for some customs for my ds(6) with autism/sensory issues. I'm looking for this stuff at JoAnn's on Friday! After I'm properly jolted with several cups of esspresso to make any of the early hours!!!

Just picked up some cute fall fabric at Joann's 50% off. W/ the $$$ situation I couldn't rationalize making a turkey dress (not that our joanns had ANY thanksgiving or fall fabrics left) but I found some teddy bears picking apples that can be constrewed as fall- apple picking is a fall thing...right? anyway it's cute and has a coordinating flower print in fall colors and I might make some pants with an apple applique...depending on how long it takes me to make the dress....hopefully I'll have pics up tonight.

The Lost Boys!!! I was a Corey Haim kind of girl. I'm willing to beg T was a Corey Feldman girl. I don't know who the older brother in that movie was, but I always thought he was pretty darn cute!

I Loved the older brother and Keifer and all the vampires . I thoght the one with curls was adorable. All the others were oh well worth being bite for.
