How sad is it that we leave for Disney in 20 days and I haven't even thought about their outfits...LOL...I need to get on it. I'm sure they have something lying around that I can put on them...LOL
Hmmm, they might have something lying around!!
I haven't been to a doctor about this, but....I think that I have sewing ADHD!

I have so many different projects going on right now and I just jump from one to the other when I feel the urge! Anyway....I would like to finish up my DDs Epcot outfit and need to applique the faces onto her pant legs. I have heard story of people "undoing" pant legs? Would anyone be willing to walk me through this step by undoing step?
It's very simple... I usually do the inside seam, or whichever one isn't double stitched on the outside. Just take your seam ripper and gently rip the threads and keep opening the seam until you get it to where you are able to fit your applique under your machine. Then when you're done, just turn inside out and stitch it back up. Lots of us have done this, so feel free to ask if you get stuck somewhere!
Ok so here is my First creation not anything fancy, just used left over patches from a quilt. I have already started making another one with smaller patches as the patches are pretty big- like 6"x6" big- but it didn't take to long!! Kinda like riding a bike you never really forget- it just takes a little practice to get going good
So I think it at least looks like a skirt- We'll see how the smaller patches look- I'm gonna have to try that gathering technique with bast stitching and pulling the threads, it's sounds like the easiest way to gather- unless any one has better ideas?!?!?!?!?
She's a cutie! I use the basting stitch, and I only need one instead of two that everyone suggests. Just make sure you use strong thread, cause if it breaks you're up a creek! I actually used elastic thread a couple of days ago and I like working with it. But, I hated taking out all the basting stitches when I was done. I usually just stitch one basting stitch, gather, then sew over top of my basting stitches so I don't have to remove them. Good luck! And remember, practice makes perfect! Well, in my case near-perfect!
okay here is my 6 yr old DD creation this is her design and she choose the material and everything i think she will wear this to chef mickeys ...
and some twirl it has a ton but i think her hair twirled more
She came up with that design! Yay her! I like that!
I cut some more of my Minnie dot last night and I could have sworn I heard some little blue train chanting... "I think you can, I think you can" It was weird! BTW, I'm making dd2 a pair of pants, so wish me luck!
Question: I made a shirt for dd8 and it's from one of the That's So Raven patterns. I need to insert a panel, because you know how they think all of our kids need to show cleavage! Well, we don't like it and I don't know how to do a panel. Suggestions?
