Kids Disney Boutique / Customs Clothes Part 4

I have to go to work tomorrow and I am not sure if I should stay up to wait for page 1000 or not?

I'm working on two patchwork Halloween skirts. (One for each DD.) I made the first tier of both skirts and then started on the second. I was wasting a lot of the Mickey & Minnie fabric, so I changed the first tier to use more of that fabric and made the original first tier part of the third. I then finished the third tier and was going to finish the second.

But I thought I better stop and see what I had done so far. I was getting confused. I had my DD's hold one end of each tier and see if they matched up to each other. They should, right? Well, tier one was fine. Tiers two and three, not so much. One tier 3 was twice as long as the other. And I had 3 tier twos, each a different length! So out came the seam ripper.

After ripping and sewing, ripping and sewing, I know have 2 sets of 3 tiers. Now all I have to do is sew the tiers together! And get some sort of trim.

Then it's off to start the patchwork blanket. I think after that, I'll be done with patches for a long time.

I'm just chatting away, trying to up the thread count. I remember how excited we were to hit 300 pages! And it wasn't that long ago!

I'm thinking the same thing. I have stuff yet to do tonight and I'm getting sleepy. We don't seem to be moving along too quickly. What happens if I stay up all night and we don't get to 1000 pages? It won't be pretty!

Thanks to everybody that offered to help me with the YCMT tulle twirl layer skirt. I finally figured it out and now I don't know why I thought it was so difficult! I just needed to put it down and then come back to it. Although I still say her directions aren't as clear as they could be!


Thanks for the definition of thrashers. Are they homemade french fries like the ones you get at In and Out Burgers? I love those! MMMMM!! Too bad the nearest one is in LV and I'm in TX!

Are we any closer to 1000 yet?

To help get us to 1000 pages, I've finally gotten my pics ready for viewing. This is from our August trip.

My girls in their matching Minnie dresses. Me in my Minnie top. And DS in his Mickey shorts and shirt.

DD4 in her Nemo twirl skirt and top. DS1 in Nemo shorts and shirt. Waiting for others on the Dinosaur ride at AK.

DD5 in her Nemo twirl skirt and top. DN6 in her princess overalls. And DS again. They were waiting for us to come off of Dinosaur. DD5 is showing some leg!

Getting ready for the Pirate & Princess Party. DS has on overalls. His material and the hidden Mickey on the back of my shirt are the same. The rest of the girls have the pirate fabric. DD5 and DD4 have Minnie dots and tulle under their pirate skirts. DN10's is a dress. Shirred all around. DN5 has a top that ties in the back. My top is shirred in front.

Captain Jack Sparrow. DN10, DN6 and DD4. You can see the back of DN6's top that I made. She was a last minute add on and that's what I whipped up for her. It ties in the back.

I know the pics of the clothes aren't the best, but it's what I've got. Are we at 1000 yet?

All the outfits are great! That last minute outfit is great -- I love the back!

Well, Makayla wanted to wear pants...I made this one piece little number that you step into and it buttons at the top. Made an XL infant, but it is rather big on her. I felt like I should have added more, and considered putting Mickey gloves on the butt, but never got to it. But she was comfy.

She was picked to be Mrs. Potts today in Belle's Storybook time at MK. It was too cute...except that she stood up there picking her nose...oh, 2 year olds...but it was really sweet...she is such a little acress...

It was very hot today...and as the day went by her hair got curlier and curlier. One more day with my little angel...

You suck! And I mean that in the nicest way! How do you get all these outfits done? I swear I get one thing done (maybe) in the time it takes you to do 5-6 outfits. You are superwoman!! I can't wait to see what you have created now. I just wish I could be a fly on the wall while you come up with a create these projects!!

Cute pics! Were these taken in Minnie's house? And if so, did you get a picture of her sitting by Minnie's sewing machine?

Glad you're having a good time. My DD4 has super curly hair, too. When we were there in August, she had ringlets galore!

For dgd2 - she's so excited about going to wdw! She tells everyone that her Nana is taking her in December! She goes wild over Mickey Mouse!

And this is one of my favorites! This is for dd7 to wear to CRT.

He was the highlight of my trip. I think I mentioned this before, but I was giggling like a school girl around him. He was so true to character, too. I would love to meet him again, and again, and again...

OOh, I love the outfits, especially the CRT one. Is that also a panel piece appliqued? Do you just cut around the pictures and then applique it?

Seriously, We are this close to 1000 and the board goes down! ARGH! I was kind of waiting around but now I think it's bed time for me. I am doing a scrapping pink weekend starting tomorrow night so hopefully I can complete my Disney Vacation scrapbook from April 2007 this weekend ! If I actually complete it, it will be my first complete scrapbook! Yeah! I am determined to complete it I just want to be done with it this weekend. I've been working on it since July, now that I am sewing too my time is divided.
