am I the only one who doesn't like cracker barrel. I guess I've only eaten there a couple of times and found out the first time that I don't like sourdough french toast YUCK!! and the 2nd time that I do not like their oatmeal!!!

...t.

No you are not the only one. I am NOT a fan of Cracker Barrel. My Dad and sister are huge fans and when we used to drive to Florida we hit EVERY Cracker barrel on 75. :scared:

I thought maybe I was "missing" something, so a few weeks ago we went to the one right up the road. I had the sourdough french toast. It was TERRIBLE! It was gummy. Never again!

I think their sourdough french toast is just ok, but love most of theri other things:)

Here are some photos of DD2 in her Halloween twirl skirt. I didn't know what I was doing, but it pretty much looks like a skirt so I didn't mess up too badly! No one had enough orange ric rac (7 yards!) so I had to go with the green. Don't laugh at the shirt. The Mickey head is pinned and taped on for the photo because I can't applique until I get my other sewing machine fixed.

We leave very early in the morning for Disney.:yay:

We are very excited and probably won't sleep much tonight.

Thank You to everyone for giving me the encouragement and complements to continue. DD is going to have a great time and she  everything that I made her!

I will share pictures when we get back!

I know that several of you are interested particularly in some sort of Tweedle Dee and Dum picture?:rolleyes1

Keep up the great work!

I already have some ideas for Christmas, and I have the supplies to make a Halloween outfit too when I get back!

Have a great day all!

Have a fantastic time, Tom!!!!

Here are the sets I made for DD:
wd2.JPG

The face gave me such a problem! This is all cut & pieced speratley The eyes got messed up..& I was *this* close to tossing this outfit! LOL I had to pick off the appliqued eyes & decided to paint them on lol..so it looks ok as long as you don't look too close. After this set, I decided to use panels LOL

I think Cindy's face looks very pretty. All your outfits are great, but I have to say Cinderella and Belle are my favorites. I really like the boy outfits too!

Susan, Makayla is just a doll and she looks so sweet in all the outfits you made! Thanks for sharing your live trip report with us!!

After seeing the comments and wonderful pictures of the Princess Storybook Dinner, I had to post pictures of Tessa when we went in Feb. 2006 (she was 2).

Oh my goodness, those pictures are so funny! I can totally see her excitement. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I finished my pirate princess and boo skirts finally!

First these are the first skirts I have made in probably over 10 years. I started with the boo skirt and worked up to the pirate ones.

This is the outfit I did for my oldest DD, the younger one didn't want to participate. I found an orange onesie for her and used the heat bonded gems to spell out BOO! in purple

I love these outfits! The expressions on the girls are priceless.

And, I have actually been able to keep up with this thread the past many days here since so many are gone at WDW:rotfl: Usually I am tons behind and have to almost speed read everything!

Me too! So cool to take a look and actually make it to the end of the thread with time left to comment.

I think you did a wonderful job! I love the contrast of the green ric-rac. :thumbsup2

Tom - it looks like I lost your Mrs. Potato head outfit. It is so pretty! I just got DD a new bed set and the prints are similar pinks and yellows. I love that combination. Have a magical trip!! :pixiedust:

Would you guys please stop fueling me!!! All these great halloween skirts!!! Maybe by the time I get the rest of her outfits done the halloween stuff will be marked down and I will have time to pull together one last skirt- I'd better buy some striped stockings, JIC!

My Mom doesn't like it either. She says, "Why go to a restaurant and pay for the same kind of food you can get at home?" I say, that's why I like it!

:offtopic: Ok, totally OT, but I'm a little upset! My husband was out hunting this morning, and when he got back to our only-basic-coverage-insurance van, the window was smashed out!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRR Someone took the hitch off the back, and then smashed the window and stole his waders, and possibly some other things, Brian was so upset he couldn't talk much. He is at the police station now reporting it. WHY do people do things like that???? I have no idea how much a new window is going to cost for the van, but I am guessing it isn't going to be cheap.

TJ- I'm so sorry to hear that. Maybe it was a pissed off deer, you know- retaliation. My cousins room was broken into once- both windows were broken and stuff was knocked over- She and her mom were down here for a long weekend...and her girlfriend kept telling the cops nothing was missing. Finally one of the cops spotted deer hair on the broken edge of the window- it had jumped through one window, got stuck in her room and jumped out the other:rotfl: :rotfl: it wasn't probably really funny but the cops were asking questions like did her parents have any enemies or did she talk to ppl she didn't know online etc... and it turned out to be a deer- at that point it was pretty funny.
I'm sure that isn't the case here, unless the deer was planning on going fishing maybe...It just reminded me of that.

On to more useful info. I know in FL. your Auto ins. co. has to fully pay to have your windshield replaced up to once a year, so unless they have already replaced your windshield for you there is a good possibility it will be covered. You can keep your fingers crossed at least. The bigger loss will probably be the stolen contents, since you carry minimum coverage (don't we all??) When my stereo/cd player was stolen from my car (they had to remove the whole dashboard to get it!!) I had to replace it myself- luckily that $300 went toward my $1000 deductible so if $700 worth of more stuff got stolen or damaged I could start claiming!!
I am really sorry this happened to you and hope that everything works out. I'm just glad your husband was not there- you never know what crazy or desperate people will do.
I hope your day gets better!

I used patterns from YCMT website for both these pieces. I had the Tinkerbell purple and green fabric.

 Susan

That is just adorable!!! Now I'm feeling bad that I just made a simple little a-line halter dress out of my faerie fabric!!! She must have been one of the best dressed kiddos at WDW ( i think UMAMA is there too!!)
What a princess!!!

Ok, one last post before I leave work early and go to Joanns. I need to get some black rick rack and snaps for lily's minnie dot outfit. I will do my best to NOT look at halloween prints. Especially since what I'd really like is one of those patchwork tier skirts. NO time!! I'm also going to pick up some bow supplies to get a set of those out of the way. I have decided to add the word minnie to the top of the minnie dot set. although she refuses to put it on- it's a little snug so I may be making a wholw new top!! It needed ...something and black rick rack, I think, we'll see. I've never been a big rick rack fan..It is DH's poker night (a $5.00 game he plays w/ guys from work) so maybe I'll get some stuff done tonight. I'd like to cut out the pillow case dresses (2) and make one set of bows. Sounds ambitious, right?

Im actually right along with you. I don't like it at all. I used to like their ribs, but then the redid the menu and didn't put them on there. Also, they tend to be a bit to prejudice for our family. (my husband is black and kids are mixed) We can never get a good table, good service, or good food.

WOW you guys, the thing I totally go for at Cracker Barrell is the French Toast! Talk about being different! Also love the hashbrown caserole!!! My kids love their green beans. I think the youngest son is into the chicken and dumplings. My oldest would eat anything. he's no judge for food. Dh likes the sausage gravy. I like that I can eat breakfast while they eat dinner. Oh well, it can't be so bad, there are like a gazillion on 95 south!!

I have all the fabric to make the three girls twirl skirts. And I have matching t-shirts! I just have to decide which kind of skirt to make. I love yours with the patches, and also like PLDaddy with the patches that increase in size...that's a lotta math :rotfl: but no problem. Then there's the other option of a stripwork skirt? So many decisions! But I gotta get going soon if I am going to make three by mid-Oct! I even bought a rotary cutter and board so it would be easier....that took is awesome!!!!
Thanks for your pics!! Great job!

BYE TOM AND FAMILY! HAVE A GREAT TRIP :yay: :yay:

Ok, I didn't get out of here early. BUT I am going to Joanns, this just means I have to pick up the tot first and it will be a bit more- um, magical:wizard:
I did howver convince myself after reading tnmoms mathematic tute that I will make the halloween patchwork tier twirl.... What kind of mother would I be if I didn't.;) OOH!! I have a 50% off coupon, of course its only for 1 cut of fabric, maybe I could just get one, start cutting it and go another day w/ another coupon- it's not like I get anything done in one day anyway!!!
We'll see.
Why do I let you guys talk me into this stuff???

I am about to start my kids Halloween costumes. My son is going to be Jack Skellington, he's picked out his fabric and I found a boys suit pattern that I am going to have to do a Frankenpattern for (I hope I used Frankenpattern right). My daughter (the 2 year old diva she is) has changed her mind about being Sally (to match her brother) since seeing Barbie The Island Princess. Here is where I need the help......

Here is a pic of Barbie The Island Princess:
BarbieIslandPrincess.jpg

I have found the fabric that I want to use for the dress and the pattern McCall's M4888 (just gotta wait until the McCall's patterns go .99 cents again). What I am having trouble with is the peacock feathers that she has attached to her dress. I looked at JoAnn's & Hancock's yesterday for big peacock feathers but no luck. I did find some small ones at JoAnn's for $1.00 each and lots of different kinds/colors of feathers, so I can make my own. Anybody have any ideas on where to find peacock feathers and how to attach them to the dress afterwards? TIA!

Hi Everyone,

Wow - all the outfits and costumes look GREAT~~~

I just wanted to let you know that the Dollar Tree now has glow fairy wands! the are the kind like the glow bracelets/necklaces! its a long stick with a star on top, and they had pink, purple, yellow, green, blue and orange.....just in case it would help finish off one of those costumes for the MNSSHP~!!!!!
