Make sure to take pictures so we can see all your creations!! Have fun finishing your projects. I am sure they are wonderful.

Ok, I know I commented before, but I wanted to tell you that you should be dancing around the house and showing everyone your awesome appliques. :dance3: At least that's what I would do, not that I've done that before or anything, because I just thought of it. Yeah, I just thought of it right now as I'm typing! :rolleyes1

I know I showed my DH this outfit twice. He told me I need more girlfriends. DH finished his grad school homework so he was around the house last night. I guess I asked him too many design questions.

To the MI outfit he said- Yep, it's nice. They just do not get it!!!

ok, my cart is full! anyone have the code for ycmt? It's good until October isn't it?!

I think it is WWMAG. Have fun with your new projects. I did the swrillie skirt last night. I trimed the bottom with ric rac. It took 5 yards of ric rack and my DD only has a 20 inch waist!!!

Considering the bows are not done perfectly, just pinned on to get the general picture... or no bows

And speaking of tutus...My version of Snow White costume for Storybook Bfast-sorry no model tonight, it's too late.

The shirt to go with

My vote is no bows. I like it without because it looks more streamlined. The Snow White tutu is great. I like how you did the ribbons in with the tulle. That had to get expensive!

My husband does! I showed him the MI outfit in progress, then the finished. He said "WOW! So that's what you are trying to do!" Thanks for the vote of confiedence I said. :rotfl2: He continued to asked, how much would that one sell for, and that I needed to keep practicing so I could sell some!:lmao:

You'd think he'd know me well enough by know, that if I spend that much time on something, our great great grandkids will inherit it!:rotfl:

Here are a few things we are taking with us.
I posted a Mater shirt and mickey shoes earlier.
Thanks everyone for the inspiration!

The straps on the bag and band on top are black, it just looks blue in this light.

That's what my dh says... "keep practicing so you can sell some of those to pay for the ones you've made!"

I love the bag! I've been trying to find a way to make one, my granddaughter's name is Rylee and spelled just like that!

I love the Minnie shirt, but I had to laugh at your dd trying to strangle Mickey with the wire!

Yes, that was the only decent picture of her in the shirt, she was in a "mood" that day. So I realized after I took it that she was not being nice to Mickey.
I told her she was going to make Mickey cry and she said back to me
"Mom, mickey is a toy, he can't cry"

LOL

How great that the spelling is the same! I have not run across another Rylee!!
A friend of mine made this bag, she does all sorts of custom sewing stuff.

I love what you did to the shirts... be careful with the snow white one.. I bought 11 of these shirts last month.. almost all of them have faded big time. The one minnie mouse one you had hardly see any of the designs around her anymore

Ok, so here's a pic of the tutu part of the pirate costume! I still have to make the part that ties around her waist (does that have a name?!) But wanted to show you what 100 yds looks like on a 4yo! I just had to show you guys tonight, so she's a bedtime pirate in jammies!

Wow! That's a nice full skirt you made!

Here's Ariel...

All of the skirts are really good, but this one has to be my favorite!

WOW! Cute! You just reminded me to make MNSSHP trick or treat bags. Thanks a LOT for that ;) We leave in 8 days and I have so much to do! (And lose 20 pounds :wizard: )

Ok, I need some help here ladies. We are going to MNSSHP as 1920-30's gangsters and flappers etc.. (a group of about 12 of us) DH is going to be a gangster and I thought it would be cute to make my DD(2) a spin-off costume using pinstriped fabric for a layered tulle skirt and corset (no ruffles, just bias tape around the edges) w/ a boys dress shirt and tie under the corset. I found this fedora hat at baby gap
I am thinking of using this pattern (the short version) for my costume w/ a cute cloche hat and some rolled stokings and mary jane heels....what d'ya think?
You all are going to be so cute! But what's a cloche hat? the close fitting ones?
and either look you use for her will be adorable.

I vote no bows -
But I love the shirts and the tutus - I never thought of putting ribbon in like that, but it's great!

Last night I had the rather irritating realization that the fabric I got to make dd4 a shirt out of won't work...it's too scratchy. Of course, that was the only fabric that Wal-Mart had that matches the outfit I'm making that I liked. Now I have to wait until tomorrow to get something else when I can go to Jo-Ann's & Hobby Lobby.

On the up side I got to work on their Halloween outfits a little more. Now, dd4 7 I can't agree on fabric for the bodice of dd1's twirly top. I told her I'd get a second opinion on here. :rotfl:

So waht do you think? Bats or candy corn?

I just wanted to share what I finished. This has been an inbetween project. I keep putting it down and coming back to it. I am working on some costumes so I need a break from the satin.

If you line up all the fabric and ric rac this would be 51 feet.:scared1:

My vote is for the candy corn. I love that fabric and have it too!

That's really cute. I like the extra big rick-rack on the bottom.

I personally like the candy corn best and I am thinking of doing something similar with the candy corn fabric I've got. Mine came from Wal-Mart but I saw that Jo-Anns had some too but the black background was a little different. Where did you get yours? Sorry for siding with your daughter too!
