Belle looks so pretty in pinks! princess:

Jasmine needs someone to knit her a sweater!!!! Must be hot in "Agrebah" in the winter. Bless her heart.

Yes, I am a guy and yes I did them. I learned to sew as a present for my wife. I found it's not too difficult given time and a seam ripper every so often. I just have to make sure my wife doesn't see this thread - she'll get too many ideas.

I made these too:

Any guesses on the mane? ;)

Just making sure who we were "talking" to :goodvibes
I think everything is FABULOUS and it's neat to have another guy on here. I've seen your photographs (at least I think it's you :)) and you seem very creative. You should let your wife and girls "shop" on the thread, though ;)

ETA: You've got me on the mane. My first thought is it looks like DMC floss but I'm sure that's not it.

Thanks, I wish they were always so photgenic...I apologize to my mom every time I have to take pics of my kids...I know we were horrible anytime they wanted pics of me and my sister and I know my boys are just giving it back to me.....

I love college ball - Florida State Grad!!!! I also love peewee football, good thing because I'm there 3 nights a week for practice and then games on saturday:scared1: My sons team is called the Ravens so right now I have a fondness for the Baltimore Ravens because we use the same logo..I'm having the cutest onesie made (by the same person who did the black and pink mickey outfit) for Delaney to wear to her brothers football games. It's going to have the Ravens font with purple and black ribbon. I can't wait to get it!

Yikes:eek: ...smocked and Disney....Lord and I promised myself to lay off voldemort for awhile.....Phew nothing in any size I could use either now or for the trip in April....thank goodness
I love Florida State (as long as they're not playing LSU, that is). I'm a big fan of Bobby Bowden. Please post pictures of Delaney's outfit. I'm making several LSU outfits for DD but I've had a rough time finding purple and gold fabric that isn't too gaudy or too grown up looking. I need a cheerleader shirt to match a skirt and I've been looking on Voldemort at painted and embroidered, but I'm not 100% sold on anything I've seen so far.

I'm not even looking at the smocked Disney stuff. I have to shop for fall/winter now :rolleyes1

OMG!!! We are going to Disneyland next month! Dh just decided we should go and I am busy booking now :) :) :)

They are celebrating Haloween when we get there so I am thinking of a pirate outfit for the two girls. Are they hard to make?

Any other suggestions of fun things for the girls to wear, three days total for a 2 and 5 year old.

Help!

Ok, please be kind. I just found this thread and wanted to post pictures of some Cinderella dresses I made for DDs:

The dresses are MARVELOUS! I hope you saved the patterns for this one Simplicity discontinued this so now it is "out of print". I only have one and wasn't able to get more (will have to draw out the different sizes now) This was the most authentic Cinderella pattern that came out. :confused3 Nana

And yes, I do have a polka dot fetish!

I have a polka dot fetish too!!! Are you using the wipes container that has the pop-up thingy on top? I can't find ones that don't.

1. A friend of mine has a 17 year old sister (Belle) and she has a friend who LOOOOVES Cinderella. They were than willing to play the part! DD recogonized Belle, but tells everone that she brought Cinderella to her party!

2. I don't do buttons! The straps stretch - makes it easier to get on and off. There is elastic in the back too! Makes for a perfect fit!

My dd's speech teacher is a HUGE Cinderella fan and has a beautiful dress, I wonder if she might know someone that will do it? Mmmmm, something to think about!

I'm so going to CASE your idea about the elastic on that jumper!!!!! I've been putting off making one since I'm scared of button holes!

We have one here too. Kimberella parties. They wanted $150 for 45 minutes, plus $25 for travel fees. While I would have paid this DH said NO WAY!!! Glad he did...the girls did a great job!

OMG! There's no way I'd pay that! That would almost pay for all of our tickets to MVMCP!

tnmom, we'll be there the same time as you in Nov./Dec. and we'll be going to MVMCP the same night. I'll keep my eyes opens for customs.

   We shouldn't be hard to spot we'll have two 2yr olds and two princesses fresh from BBB! Plus, one mom, one dad (actually two if you count ds19) and one gorgeous teenage girl! Oh and one lime green baggallini!

Ok, please be kind. I just found this thread and wanted to post pictures of some Cinderella dresses I made for DDs:

Absolutely gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My dd would have a fit for one of those!

We are going around the 7th of December. I was able to get resies for dinner at CRT. I would have rathered lunch or breakfast but we are not going to be picky! I think I am going to make DD Belle's Christmas dress. I just need to figure out how.

So please keep up the ideas. I am probably going to bring 4 customs. Also, what kind of weather should we prepare for???

Aimee, I'd love to meet you before we leave! We are sometime on the 8th. When are your ADRs for CRT? We have breakfast on the 7th.

I'm planning on warm weather, but bringing long sleeve ts and leggings to put under their customs just in case. I love calling my kids' clothes "customs", makes me feel special!

:welcome: Jeff!!!!!!!!!! No guess on the mane, but it looks great!

Well, it wasn't easy for me the first time either. For some reason the pattern instructions told me to sew around the whole thing not just the top piece when I put the 2 fabrics together. And guess what, I couldn't turn it right side out! That was about 11:30 one night. The next morning, the instructions changed and said to just sew around the top! I just don't understand why the instructions wanted to mess with me like that!;)

I knew there was a conspiracy involving that pattern :rotfl: ! It told me to sew the velcro onto the wrong side of the flap! I messed it all up and it now sits in the bottom of my "current projects" basket! I guess I'll have to give it another go during the day when the pattern is not at it's devilish stage!

But it is good to be an LSU fan tonight :cheer2: . Are there any other football crazy ladies on here?

GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
Yes, we are a little football crazy here! Here are 2 pictures of my DD and DSS at Picture day when DD was 18 months old. She was terrified of dogs, but any good Georgia fan takes their child to picture day. Sorry for the awful pictures, they are from the newspapers. The big one is from the front page of the Athens paper.

Now won't that be cool when she is a student there in 12 years!

You are so sweet with the picture comments. You're my new best friend ;)
Seriously, some of the kids on this thread (yours included) are so photogenic. My kids go loony when I pull the camera out. I rarely get pictures of them that I like.

But it is good to be an LSU fan tonight :cheer2: . Are there any other football crazy ladies on here?

The new pic is very cute -- I had to do a double take when I didn't see her in a smocked dress!

I bet y'all are excited since LSU won tonight, we watched it. Our game is Saturday -- WAR EAGLE!!!

He might be a little short and balding(hey he is usually wearing a hat anyway), but definitely a HOT body!!! Some great eye candy that I am adding to the thread!:goodvibes BTW I like his music too!:lmao: Actually I have had a few people PM and tell me they were adding that pic to their sig or avatar too. WOOHOO!:thumbsup2

I loooooove Kenny Chesney - I may have to steal that avatar too!

well, girlie just what size are these shoes. I'll have to watch your auctions since I have 4 daughters that could use some shoes. My daughters definatally don't have that "problem" but I'de love for them too. :rotfl:
Somewhat off topic but...

I have a shoe problem. To be more specific I have a problem buying too many pairs of shoes for Zoe. I was in her room earlier to change the sheets and ended up doing a little straigtening while I was in there. I noticed her closet was a mess so decided to organize her shoes and take out those I knew to be too small. After I was done, I saw just how many pairs she has - 22 plus 2 new pair I got today!!! Admittedly they aren't expensive shoes and that number includes 5 pair of sandals that won't fit next summer and 3 or 4 pair of cheap flip flops. Still, I remember as a child feeling lucky to have 3 pair of shoes - sneakers, school shoes and dress shoes.

She has more clothes than she needs but since it's semi-business related, I don't think so much about that (except when they all seem to make it into the laundry at once and I know she didn't wear all of them). Is there anyone else who can relate even if it's not specifically shoes?

Imma purse girl too. :thumbsup2 My DH asked what I wanted for my b-day and I said a new purse (of course) He just laughed and then asked why I can't use the ton of purses I have neatly stored in our closet. He'll never understand. Im also getting a boat charm for my braclet in memory of my Grandpa who just passed 2 months ago. I love my charm braclet...each charm means something.

We don't have a shoe problem, I'm not a shoe girl (but I am a purse girl, expensive ones at that, luckily the girls aren't into that yet).

But the webkinz are multiplying at a rate faster than I would like to admit and now we have to do the Webkinz charms (luckily for my wallet we haven't found them yet). But the kids do play with them a lot so I guess it's an okay addiction.

I posted a few pages bag about my stinking machine/ruffler combo. I have a kenmore sewing machine, about 10 yrs old, and just bought a ruffler foot for it. I tried it out and the blasted machine keeps jamming, the thread keeps pooling up underneath the foot and it just jams. Any advice as to what I am doing wrong? I have 12 days left till our trip and wanted to do my skirt before I go.

Sincerely, Lori a very frustrated sewer right now

We are in a shoe buying nightmare right now. She's not walking and it isn't cold yet, so for now they're just for decoration but her foot is teeny. 3 narrows are too big for her. So for now we have no shoes.

OH boy I might start something here but, I have a link to a pattern where you can make baby shoes. They are similar to the Robeez type shoes.

Here is a flickr group with some cute finished products.

But it is good to be an LSU fan tonight :cheer2: . Are there any other football crazy ladies on here?

We watch a ton of college football, although our school teams Univ of Tulsa and the Air Force Academy, are not strong college football teams.

But we are crazy about our KC CHIEFS :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: (although our season hasn't started out very well.)

Now, when college basketball comes around, watch out, we become totally obsessed.

GO KU JAYHAWKS!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
We didn't attend KU but when you live in KS you kind of get sucked into the excitement. We even have season tickets we share.

Whew, glad to get that off my chest.

I think they're great. I just finished one of my own so I know how 'fun' they are to make. Looks like the girls enjoyed them too.

I am SO GLAD that I wasn't the only one who did this!!! I was trying just to get done...got cocky and didn't read everything, thinking "this is too easy"! Then out came the Ol' seam ripper, after much turning inside out, rightside in, etc!
