This one is for the 9yo and up.
BTW these were designed for Cheerbop and she collaborated on the idea...Nana

Nana! These are fantastic! love the map background fabric.

My boys told me tonight they would wear a t-shirt like that if I did a POKEmon on it...they are obsessed with pokemon :sad2:

I'm thinking your boys will be complimented alot in those!

Geez, I can't even spell it!:lmao:

1. When attempting to do the "A" word, it is NOT the time to try a new type of thread.

2.Just because the manual says the machine can to the stitch does NOT mean the machine operator can:rolleyes1 :

True-that! MY machine can do button holes and zippers and a verity of cool heirloom stitches too!

3. When attempting to do the "A" word it is not necessary to buy YARDS of fabric for a small character.

I keep telling myself that very thing! Plus the disney vacation $$$ needed in 37 more days isn't going to save itself!

4.When all else fails open a diet pepsi and read the disboards for a bit:banana:

Don't mind if I do!

5. It is not necessary to be able to do ALL types of sewing. I have lived all these years(ok not THAT many years:angel: ) without doing the "A" word, do I REALLY need to learn now?

You really need to learn how to do polymer clay beads. They're all the rage around here!

6.See #4:rotfl:

ok I feel better now- time for round 2...........

I like you!!! See? Humor goes hand in hand with sewing! You're pretty funny for an OLD lady :cutie:

I ran into embroidered iron on patches...already done on voldemort and other than doing simple mickey heads or squares myself, I will attempt to buy a $3.00 patch for sanity's sake. I have an itchy "buy it NOW" finger.

I've also been attempting to only buy the quantity i will need, not to have a mini-garment district sewing room...like some (lucky) people!!!

Diet Pepsi!!! I really like you!

Ok, so this isn't gonna even come CLOSE to UtahMomma's twirl skirt (NO WAY do I have patience for that one!)

Here is my version of a halter pillowcase dress

Lori

Here are the girls in their completed 'Ohana dinner outfits. They're going to feel like royalty having to 'change for dinner'. While mom and dad will just be wearing the same stinky clothes from earlier. :)

Beautiful! Is that the barrette I made in DD's hair? ;)

I am not really sure how to quote.
Where did you find that High School Music fabric? My girls would just love it! We are having a High School Musical 2 sleepover friday night!:scared1:

We are too! DD has 3 friends coming over - DD and DS made music notes and put them all over - and who knew I was going to have to hit 6 stores before finding HSM plates and decorations!

pending reply of an address so I can mail them out. Thank you to all who pm'd me. I only wish I had more to send out.

There is also a Jon Jon of the Pirate fabric with Pirate Mickey on it :)

It really is hard to find things for the boys that are custom.

how can you even possibly put a disclaimer on this beautiful skirt when you post it !! It is top notch...I love the prints...

I am on day 3 of prep for my twirl skirt....3 work days spread out over a week and a half...one day to buy the material...one to mark it all so that I will cut straight lines (I am trying one of those peice/patch work twirl skirts) and last night to cut the peices out...hope I have enough !! Tonight I hope to start to stitch while the girls have a sleepover and watch high school musical...
I am so scared to start....I am having dreams of this stupid skirt !! (it's really pretty in my dreams:rolleyes1 )

wish me luck..I can only hope it looks as good as yours UtahMoma
BTW - we will be in MK 9/30 - it is hubby's B-day...not staying for the MNSSHP that night doing a fireworks cruise - I will be lookin' for ya !!!

Eeyore-

I am so hooked on Project Runway. I did not think tatoo neck should have won last year! I feel your pain. Like me being upset will change a thing. I was not even looking for the Atlas. I just saw it out of the corner of my eye! I took out my handy dandy camera and fired away. I am not a "autograph seeking" kind of girl but I had an overwhelming need to go to Mood! Now whenever I am watching PR I can say I was there! That's not going to get old. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Tatoo neck!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
you mean...the cheater....LOL

HI!!!!
Ok...see? Higher than horizontal..."The Full Twirly" (Spongie is looking over my shoulder and says it looks like a watermelon in this picture)

P8163676.jpg

The circle view....Oooohhhh Awwwww! Note the 4 layers of hand gathered, and hand sewn tulle (:headache: I could do a Trip Report just on that green tulle)

P8163675.jpg

i love it!!!! is the tulle just a "bottom ruffle" or is it an actual layer of the skirt that goes all the way to the waist?????

On a sad note, I went to my Walmart and they didnt have the water fabric.:sad1: So I will have to find another one that does!

I'm off to WM today, I'll see if they have some left.

P8163675.jpg

Sorry the skirt wasn't all that and a bag of chips...but it's worth it to see my dd PRANCE around...which they don't do when they're teenagers. So, I'll take it!

Are you kidding!?! It's all that and a bag of chips and a DIET PEPSI!!!!!!! You go girl!!! That's awesome!

We decided last year that we are no longer going to celebrate Halloween, for lots of reasons. Mostly because the girls get scared of someone's costume no matter where we go. We went to the YMCA last year thinking it would be more family oriented. Well, after the wolfman scared the *&^*&^ out of dd8, we decided that we're done! BUT, dd16 is really after me to make an NBC outfit for one of the little ones. I think they are adorable, even though I don't like the movie! Who knows, I may do something when those sheets hit Hot Topic!

Here is my version of a halter pillowcase dress

I made DD a matching headband for it.... No picture of that, though.

Very nice dress! And what do you mean no picture of the headband?! I wanna see! I bought some headbands to make, but haven't attempted them yet. Any tips?

Good morning ladies..and Tom,
Our Sea World day was a lot of fun. The girls were well behaved and we overall had a nice day. The outfits were a huge hit and we got compliments all day. The girls enjoyed the new Sesame Street show, as well as the pet show. Shamu wasn't that impressive. The show was much shorter than I remember and just wasn't that great. Here are a few photos of our day.

The last little guy says,"Hey Lisa, why aren't you home sewing?" LOL...:rotfl2:

Cute! I wish I'd seen something like that when DD was in diapers. I'm definitely keeping the idea for shower gifts, though. My question for you is how did you sew on the hook & loop tape? I always seem to have my thread break, bunch or just can't seem to get my machine to work with it and sewing by hand is not something I do if I can avoid it. /quote

The only time I ever had trouble sewing velcro on with my sewing machine I had accidentally gotten the sticky backed kind. Now it does say don't sew it on, but I had to try because I didn't want to have to go BACK to Wal-Mart for more. It was awful...knotted up the bobbin thread & made HUGE mess.

Awwwwww Spongie- thanks! Ya know.... IF the truth be told, the fire guys probably wouldn't help me post a picture on the internet at all. (But they would bring that fire engine!! :lmao:)

Sorry the skirt wasn't all that and a bag of chips...but it's worth it to see my dd PRANCE around...which they don't do when they're teenagers. So, I'll take it!

UtahMomma

Well the skirt isn't very full, and it dosen't seem like your daughter enjoys it, so I think you should just throw it in a bag and mail it to MD!!!!! I will safely and carefully dispose of it here!:yay:
