I'm the one that made this, but I'm not sure of what you're asking...or saying...:rotfl:

Sorry :rotfl: Somebody was asking a few pages back about where to find these pictures. I found them and posted them but couldn't remember who asked :rotfl2: Maybe I'm just imagining things. Sorry :lmao: Oh how I dream to be able to do such an applique as you do  Maybe in about 10 years!

Me either!! But that's another thread!!

I hope you find something good for Jasmine. If/When you do, would you pass along your idea to me? DD8 :love:s Jasmine and I'm having a hard time trying to find something to make for her to wear to CRT (surprise breakfast)! It has to be princessy, but comfy enough to spend the day at the parks in. I'm axious to see what you come up with, because your other princess sets are great!

I think I'm going to use the Jasmine pattern, but make it with a twirly sheer skirt and knit shorts (make it a skort). I found a flesh colored tank top at old navy (a jr.s that I'll have to cut down some) and make the pattern top and attatch it to the tank. Dress it up with the cold coins. I have a headband I made with a jewel button on top. And a scrunchy. I'm having trouble finding teal knit fabric tho. I'll have to go look around online.

It's really not hard to applique. I just wish I had someone help me when I first started. My mother wants to learn, but she's too busy...LOL, aren't we all. Anyway, if you ever have any questions, let me know and I'll do my best to help you. I think the best thing is just start with scraps and do different basic shapes, squares, circles. Just to get the technique down.
Happy sewing!!
Lisa

Where oh where oh where can you find the circle fabric pictured above - L LOVE IT!

Check JoAnnes. I found it in a weird place. With the quilt fabric. It's a really soft material, not like the quilting fabrics. I thought the circles were too big. But with a 40% coupon, I thought we could deal with it.

Thank you so much everyone for you comments on the Disney Cutie shirt! I will see if she wants to put it on after VBS. I am thinking about putting it with a black skirt or capries. I just love everyones outfits that they have made! You are all such a creative bunch!

Cute, cutie shirt. However, I noticed your siggy. We're going to be on the same cruise. It really is a small world afterall!!! So, are you going to have your dd in customs? What are you doing for formal night and the pirate party? I haven't a clue as to what we're in for. It's our first cruise, but I am so excited.

I made this one a size 3 in the dress style with a ruffle on the bottom edge instead of the bias tape. The pattern makes either a top like my DD was wearing or a dress.

I think it may end up on a certain auction site.

A tip for anyone making one of these, the pattern calls for you to make a loop and sew it to the back for the ties to go through. I didn't like the way the ties looked when you tied them.

When I made DD's top I left the loop off but the front of the top kinda kept sliding down. I think I will have to go back and add two loops to it.
So when I made this dress I put two loops on instead and it works better.

Not a great pic of the shorts, but you get the idea. I went all-out and made pockets, too:laughing: Not much to do to jazz up the guy stuff.

If you don't want to applique, there are some great Cars designs on the Creative DISigns board. I made one (using that same shirt, I think) for a friend of mine's ds bday. You don't have to have one with his name, but the DISigners over there are wonderful and very helpful!

The red looks faded for some reason in the pic, but it really wasn't.

I took a few pictures while I was making the ruffle so you could see how it works. I'm sorry I can't remember who was asking but I thought some photos might help

This picture shows the two rows of stitching and I pinned it to the skirt right sides together. Then I stitch it on.

THis shows how I fold the ruffle down and then stitch again over the top.

This is what the back looks like when it is finished. You could trim it with pinking shears too.

OK. . .DD was NOT going to wear this outfit and then my sister told her that she really really wanted to see it!! So DD told her that she would wear it to her wedding (my sister's that is)

DD with the TOTALLY HANDSOME GAGE!!!

You should come join us on the Disney Cruise Meet board for Sept. 29th if you haven't already. This is our third cruise and we love it! You are going to have an awsome time! So far I just have the cutie shirt for one day and a princess jumper I made for her this summer to wear. I am going to try to make us pirate outfits but nothing big just white peasant top and possibly a black skirt, scarf and maybe for dd a money bag and wear black boots. Nothing custom for formal. I am thinking about making a sailor dress for her but that is if I have the time and money :sad2: We are wearing matching shirts with a design made by someone on the creative disign thread for the first day. Since my dd is 11 it gets harder to put her in all the cute things I see because she thinks they are for younger kids.

She looks so cute in that!! What a beauty she is! And, bonus wedding pictures!!!! I love it! I just love weddings! Weren't you in it? Let's see a picture of you in your fancy dress!

oh my gosh - did you guys know there is a pattern for princess dresses for dolls? To stinkin' cute! (I was looking to see if they had any boy doll clothes patterns and saw it.)

I have this pattern and I am having the hardest time with it right now. I cannot seem to sew the tule right. I have re-cut Tinker Bell three times already. Has anyone had success with this one?

Any tips would be great!

Your tanks are great! I can make something like that for DD11. That's her style! I may have to worry about her girls too. She's thinks it's funny that her girls have outgrown mine:rotfl:

I see that you're doing the Mickey next year. I'm signed up for the Donald but have I trained lately? Nope! I'm either on this board, sewing, or at the fabric store during my free time. I have to get moving soon though. January will be here before you know it. Keep movin' forward! :thumbsup2

I guess I'll see ya'll at Marathon Weekend, too. I signed up for the Donald, too, and like you, LadyRob, I need to get moving. I think I have been out MAYBE a handful of times since the Minnie in May. I was going to do the Run For the Taste, but now our cruise gets back the day before that, so I don't think that will work.

Oh and speaking of the girls..... Well, let's just say I don't like to wear anything that draws attention to them since they're so big. It's like "Oh, the girls are here. That means Eva will be here any second." (I hope the tag fairy isn't lurking about. That's a tag I wouldn't want. :rotfl: )

For any of you ladies that are near a RagShop, all of their patterns are now 6 for $10. I literally sat there the other day and just rifled through all the drawers and walked out $80 poorer. I hate to pay full price, so I think in the end they wound up being $1.67 each. Not a bad deal! I mostly got Disney patterns and costume patterns...a few regular ones. Good deal.

Did ya' get any sexy jumpsuits?? :rotfl: That whole conversation made me think of that jumpsuit that guy (Santino?) made for that girl on Project Runway. Ugh!!!

I have posted there a time or 2. I have had trouble this week trying to keep up with everything. My dh is not into dressing up, and we'll see how my dds feel about it. My best friend though (they'll be cruising with us) is up for it, so we may be the only 2 in our entire group. We'll see.

Well, I'm off to bed. I'm going to try to mark this in the favorites and see if it helps me find my place next time.

Great outfits everyone. I love seeing the customs for the boys, and I've enjoyed the apron dresses, too. I've had that pattern for a while now, and just haven't gotten around to making it. I love it though.

Okay, I'm waiting with baited breath for the Alice outfit somebody said they'd post tonight. I'm really excited to see this one so pretty please with a cherry on top don't keep me waiting *too* much longer. :rolleyes1
