:) Hi ladies, I can't find the post (or page) that had the Cinderella painted canvas shoes. Can anyone help me out? I would love to order a pair for my daughter for our upcoming trip!

Thanks~

p.s. I am amazed at how talented you all are! I can't sew worth a flip and you all make it look so easy :)

Mine aren't canvas but they are Cinderella.

Ok, I made one pair of overalls, but I didn't cover the bib with fabric. My next pair I plan to and I have a question. What's the best way to deal with the buttons? Should I attempt buttonholes and cover the whole thing, or simply trim fabric around them, or can I cover them and still be able to button/unbutton with a little more effort?

I came home from spending the day with my Granny and found this back on page 8!!! Can anyone help with this? I'm dying to make more overalls, but just need to get over this one hurdle!!

Also, anyone know where I can find good Cinderella appliques? I'm looking for a slipper and mice.

Ok, girls, I *think* I'm almost done with my kiddos clothing. Can you all take a look at my pre-trip report (all of the pictures are listed there) and tell me if I need anymore clothes? I'm still working on my son's Safari overalls, sorcerer overalls (for MGM) and Stitch overalls for Ohanas. Other than that, how does everything look?

I love them! You're good... I can't wait to put all of this together for Gracie. I have to decide when she'll wear her outfits.

Do you have shoes for all of your outfits?

Another beginner's question for you guys:duck: If fusible interfacing and fusible web basically the same thing? Do you us one or the other, or do you use both at the same time?:headache: I'm so confused!:scared:

Here goes! I am finally posting my first few outfits. Keep in mind I am VERY new to this but I am loving it and am becoming very addicted to it!

How did I do?

I think you did very well for your first ones! And your girls are too cute!

Here's another twirl skirt and halter that I threw together last weekend when my DSL was out. This is my favorite one so far! I used a dress that was unloved here, and cut out the green squares ... and ... that's where the appliques came from! They were already on the dress, so all I had to do was cut the squares to include them!

tnmom25, I really like that outfit you posted above with all the different pinks and the green! Very cute! :)

Hey, does anyone have any instructions and/or tips for altering a pattern size? I'm looking at a pattern for my daughter who is only 15 mos. , but the smallest size the pattern comes in is 2. I've never done this before so any help would be *much* appreciated.
I haven't altered a pattern, but I have this if it helps.

Good gosh...I am gone for 2 and 1/2 hours and there are like 5 pages...LMMEO. I love all the new outfits up. I did solve my own Pirate shirt problem so I dont need help there but I do need your opinions on something else. Soon as I get the applique attached to the shirt you get to see it. :-)

I finally gave in (in other words the brat was asleep and I had enuf time to think) and got my first item for sell up on Ebay. I had no idea what I was doing. LOL It is not Disney related but for you ebay fanatics, what do you think of my very first listing. pm me for my name on there. LIke anyone on here would want what I am selling but stupid infraction crap. PLease be kind ...I am new at this stuff but I NEED MONEY. Is there anything that I should have included or left out? I figure if I get good enuf at it after our trip I may start listing some of the customs I made for this trip if I dont plan on wearing them again. Gotta earn enuf for a future trip. LOL

Can someone post the directions on how to make a really easy ruffle? I remember something about a loose stitch and pulling the threads. Also, is it dental floss or thread? And if it's dental floss, please explain how you thread your machine. Use a dental floss bobbin too?

I really like the colors in this set! You're doing great. Keep at it and you'll get better and better the more you try.

Thanks so much. I think I can figure it out from here. I appreciate your help on this.

Here's what I did. I hand threaded a piece of detal floss onto the very edge of the fabric I wanted to ruffle. Next, I used regular thread in my machine and zig zagged over the dental floss for the entire length of the fabric i was ruffling. Then you just pull the dental floss and spread out your ruffles. It works beautifully for nice even ruffles and saves TONS of time.

Hi everyone, I've been MIA the past couple of days, and boy do I have a lot to catch up on. I haven't been sewing though, but I'll get back to that. Good job to all who have posted pics of their new customs. Nice work. I really need to get my youknowwhat in gear.

About the white fabric with the black Mickey heads..... I was planning on buying these sheets from disneyshopping. They are very similar, but have the same feel to them, and I like them even better. Check them out, and tell me what you think. BTW, I wasn't going to put them on my bed. I was going to make something out of them. http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp...&productId=1202386&langId=-1&categoryId=14434

That's a really long link. Sorry, but I don't know how to do links. I know. I know. I really need to learn. If the link doesn't work, just go to disneyshopping.com and look under the "For the Home" section.

Also, the pattern looks to be Butterick 5019. I was just cutting this out the other day. I think it would be adorable as Mickey's BBQ outfit or HDDR -- with some denim in there somewhere.

However, I am now trying to decide what I can make for me and my family and my best friend and her family that we can wear on our Disney CRUISE!!!! Yep, I booked my family on our first cruise. My friend has been on a DCL sailing before but has been wanting to go back. We depart the end of Sept for a 7 day cruise. Woooo Hooooo!!!!!!

That's what my mom and I just did for dresses for the girls. We bought those same sheets and figured that we'd make either strip skirts or patchwork skirts with that, the minnie red dot and some other fabrics.

Hi Everyone! I've had a lot going on so please forgive me about not posting lately. Here is an outift I made yesterday. I had this retro Mickey fabric, but a tiny amount of it. I've held onto it for about a year. So this is what I finally did with it. I also saved enough for a hairscarf, headband.

Yes, I will be listing this soon. Maybe tomorrow. It won't be a custom though, due to the small amount of fabric that I had. :sad2:
But I love the look of black and white and red. My next kitchen will be done in those colors...LOL.
