I've updated my very first thing I ever sewed. I turned the dress into a swing top and added knit shorts. I added the turqoise band and even did some fancy stitching! It's amazing what you learn when you read the owners manual!:woohoo: I'm going to add some swarskian (sp) crystals above Nemo for bubbles and randomly on the top too. Whatcha think?

I think you're incredibly talented! Great job.

CUTE! I bet the crystals will be adorable on it!!

Thanks for the encouragement on the guys shirts! I'll post them when I get them done! (have to get the pattern and the rest of the solid colored fabric now - but at least it won't be $10 a yard fabric!!!)

I'm thinking for me I'll try putting it on a red t-shirt with some sort of design across the chest - add ribbons behind it or something... (like others have posted in the past)
I did play around with a halter pattern for our 'trip nanny' (taking a friend from church along to help with DS) Not sure if I like it though...
halters.jpg

If I go with this halter, I'll let her choose the color (green or orange...I want everyone to have a different color shirt, I think, and I figure teens are usually into the brighter colors that I wouldn't normally wear)

I LOVE photoshop! It's so much easier for me to play around with things there first before I start cutting!

Here's what the Alice set will look like: (This is not my daughter, nor my pictures, but the outfit will be the same!)

OOOOH...this is soooo pretty! I'm not an Alice fan, but I love it anyway! It has a victorian flair to it, which I love.

Okay, I have never seen such beautiful outfits. You all are some very talented ladies.

I can sew a bit, probably able to follow most patters and do some figuring out....but with 2 DDs and leaving in 3 weeks, I guess I won't be making anything for this trip.

Also..140+ PAGES to look throug is alot. I don't think I can finish looking at each page before our trip.
Is there an easier way to just see the outfits.
Also, any clues on how to find them on eBay. Not much comes up on boutique.

Thanks again for sharing all your wonderful items. Y'all should be very proud.

I have no idea about wonder-under, but I just wanted to say that this looks like the sort of outfit *I* would have loved when I was little. Anything white/rainbow! LOL! Great job!

You're a braver soul than I am though to dress a toddler in white. Whoever said that boys are messier than girls has never met my DD. That girl can get *something* on *anything*! LOL.

I have so many outfits already and so many more to go... I think this will be a morning outfit, once it's dirty I'll just have to change. :thumbsup2 Hmmmm....is three outfits a day too many?:rotfl2:

Your Outfits are AWESOME!!!!! Nice job!

Ok, girls, I *think* I'm almost done with my kiddos clothing. Can you all take a look at my pre-trip report (all of the pictures are listed there) and tell me if I need anymore clothes? I'm still working on my son's Safari overalls, sorcerer overalls (for MGM) and Stitch overalls for Ohanas. Other than that, how does everything look?

That's Simplicity Pattern #4287

My DH hs a shirt similar to this (only it only has a contrasting pattern on one side) and it looks pretty cool.

Just an idea!

I love your idea, and happy that you included a visual (along with the pattern number)!!!

Do you have any recent pattern numbers or ideas for womans tops?

ObsessedwiththeMouse --- The Alice outfit has to be one of the Top Ten favs. I love it. I would love to know how she does her appliques or what machine she uses.

Whaddya think? (matching dark blue for DH and matching light blue for DS?)

Very nice!
Hello, my name is Stephanie and I am addicted to sewing clothes for my daughter!

We are leaving for vacation tomorrow and she wanted something cozy (and princess) to wear to bed:

I did not do a good job on the neck and arm holes, but it was my first time and she is thrilled. See you guys in a week: happy sewing!
Cute!

Here's a little no sew tank I made. I just used underwonder on it. You think that will hold up for a few days? I originally was going to applique it on, but working with stretchy knit is not fun. I bought sew in printer fabric stuff, and just printed the pic on it, ironed it, and attached it.

It turned out great.

Really cute and I think the crystals will be the perfect final touch.

Definitely one of my favorites.

She also has an ADORABLE JoJo outfit.

I like it! I have been playing with the idea of PJs. Did you use a flannel?

I saw this fabric a few days ago and said that would be great for AK! I don't think we are going to go there. We are going to Sea World instead. So I didn't get any, but now seeing it used maybe she needs an outfit anyway. Funny how great minds think alike! Oh, and your daughter looks gorgeous!

:thanks:

I love all of the tops! And even more I love that you used photoshop to play with them first! So cool!

If you look under "boutique jaynes" on Ebay, there is a REALLY REALLY cute boys shirt with the same type of styling.

I love that seller!!! She had a 3 Little Pigs outfit that was TDF! I wanted it so bad. I don't remember seeing the Alice outfit before. It's definitely one of my favorites.

She also has an ADORABLE JoJo outfit.

"She" didn't make that outfit. I know who you're talking about and she purchased it from a fellow ebayer. I PMed you!

This is adorable: I love the way you jazzed it up with the fancy stitching and ribbon. It's really giving me ideas about dressing up the outfits I have made. Crystals will be the finishing touch and I'm sure it will be beautiful!

WOW! that is really cute! I like that idea.

AWWW. it looks cute! So does your daughter. She is the one that was requesting the princess nightgown, right? You are so sweet to make that for her right before you leave!

We are going to PA from FL so I thought a fleece nightgown might come in handy. I wish I was brave enough to tackle sleeves, but I'm not ready for that yet.

Here's what the Alice set will look like: (This is not my daughter, nor my pictures, but the outfit will be the same!)

That Alice set is darling: I love the ruffles!

I Love this! She is SO cute!

Megan picked out the princess fleece. It is lightweight, so I hope she won't sweat in it when we get back home.

I want to make something for back to school and I was thinking of those paneled skirts. Are there instructions somewhere or are you guys winging it?
