Kids Disney Books

Can anyone recommend any Disney books for my DS (5). We are going to WDW for his first trip in June 07 and wanted to get him some books for x-mas to get him excited about the trip. I wasn't sure if anyone knew of any kid oriented books about WDW. I was thinking of getting the Brer Rabbit story so he will recognize things when we go on Splash Mountain.

I've been thinking about the same thing for my DS3. In the Disney section at Barnes and Noble, they have big hardcover volumes of Disney tales. There are three or four different volumes, each with many stories within. Some of them are "classic" Disney stories, while others are newer Disney ones. Either way, they would really give your DS an overview of many characters. I've been thinking that they are just a tad over my DS's head, but for a 5 year old I think they would be perfect.

Sams club had a bunch of disney books coloring books and sticker books!
Oh also you may have read on an earlier post Target has $1 Mickey stuff and they have some small board books that travel great! Good luck and have a great trip!

We have a book my son loves. It's called Disney 3-minute Bedtime Stories, and it has about 15 abreviated version stories, including Peter Pan, Dumbo, Monsters inc. I like it because they are short, so we can read one, or many.

I just bought my DS6 some Disney easy reader books from Walmart that he can read while on the plane. They were really cheap. $2.50 a book. They had Disney golden bks too for the same price.

Last week at Sam's they had several different big storybooks for about 9 or 10 dollars. I got the Pixar one with Nemo, Toy Story, Incredibles, etc. for a birthday present. They also had a princess one, friendship stories, and one with classic Disney stories. I've seen these at Walmart, too. And you might check your public library. Ours has lots of Disney books.

Not a story book, but this book is neat for preparing to go to WDW. There are word puzzles, trivia, pictures and descriptions of rides, etc. I bought it for my 6 yo DD, and she loves it. (We are going in Jan.)
