Amy~ Wow! Disney Magic at it's finest. Isn't that the reason we all go back?
Amy. Your story is fantastic. Your kids are just beautiful. But you must know i think that as I have seen their adorable faces many times. I can't wait to keep reading. I am hooked.GeorgiaAristocat said:But Captain Jason, with whom I was speaking, told me the reservation was for the next night. And, as I am want to do, just like with the nice man who checked us in at OKW, I started babbling. About how it wasn't Disney's problem that there had been an error in communication. How I really appreciated their help. How it was just going to be too bad for the other family, because we couldn't go the next night, etc.
And he was genuinely concerned. After a brief conversation, he asked me what we were doing that night.
I explained that we just got into town, this was our plan for the night, so I guessed we would be going back to our room. And I wasn't crying. Yet.
And then, Tinkerbell flew by (I'm certain I saw something glimmering, more than the glow necklaces) and sprinkled pixie dust on us.
Because Captain Jason said that he was going to make sure we saw the fireworks. To just hang around, that there was another family that was supposed to come, but that he would personally take us to see the fireworks.
I almost started crying. I'm sure that tears pooled in my eyes. And I started thanking him profusely.
Because he made sure I wasn't going to have to tell my kids that we weren't going to see fireworks that night after all.

Amy!!!!!Cap'n Jason checked the ages of the two Howell children (yes, Vikings, we really DID go on a cruise with a family with the last name of Howell. And I really did make some crack about it being okay, as long as it wasn't a THREE HOUR cruise.)
GeorgiaAristocat said:(Except for the Baskin-Robins. My Girl licked her ice cream scoop off the cone and onto the floor today. The owner, when he saw the tears welling in her eyes went into full-on panic, and said very loudly, almost a yell in fact, "DON'T CRY! I'LL GET YOU ANOTHER ONE!!!!" It was almost funny. Until he glared at the poor little teenager who had scooped it, and apparently not smushed it down into the cone enough. And nastily told her that it was the second time that had happened today. I bet that $2 comes out of her pay . . .Unlike Disney . . .)
GeorgiaAristocat said:Anywho ~ I appreciate everyone reading this - ALL OF YOU!!! Especially since there are so many reports out there right now. I know I can't keep up with everyone else's, so I know it is tough on you readers, too!
Yep, Horseybaby is right: that is Disney-only magic. Love Jason! Love the GA Aristocrats!!!Cap'n Jason, who obviously does this a LOT, gathered the kids at the front of the boat, and told them that he needed help blowing out the torches so that the fireworks could start. He was good, he knew the music well enough to get a couple of attempts in before they managed to blow really hard and blow them out. So adorable.
she ended up biting her glow necklace
Can you believe that I am still on the arrival night? They arrive in the evening of the next day. And, unfortunately, their first evening was NOT so magical.jamal said:I forgot to ask...when do your Mom and NeatKid arrive??????? I take it they missed this particular pixie dust.
