My oldest is kinda a foodie and was looking forward to all the kids desserts like we had in 2006, but now I see almost all restaurants have the "new healthy" menu. If they choose the ice cream, will they only get a scoop or two of ice cream or will it be more like "build your own" sundae? :confused3 ANy insight on the desserts would be appreciated as I am trying to figure out our ADRs. :woohoo: Thanks a bunch!

Just got back and I'm trying to remember :rolleyes1

DS had a make your own sundae at LeCellier and at Turf Club, make your own cupcake at Garden Grill, Boma & Cape May buffets had lots of desserts to choose from and Brown Derby has "Hidden Treasure" ice cream, w/gummy worms and stuff (DS loves it). DS was too full at Chefs de France to order dessert (although he managed to help DH with his creme brulee)

Hope this helps!

I think for the most part they are make your own sudaes but be careful they choose a preplated item that has youguart or apples that is considered their dessert and they will not be able to choose the ice cream at all.

You can always order a dessert off the adult menu. It would be extra, but life's too short to eat only vanilla ice cream!

Ask for two spoons!

any one out there who recently has been to WDW that can help out with this? We are looking at Capt Jacks, Coral Reef, Boma, Ohana, Cinderella's, Le Cellier, 50's prime time and Spoodles...

We went to Spoodles in Apr and again in Aug and both times DD got to make her own sundae. She got a dish of vanilla ice cream and about 4 little cups of different toppings for the ice cream.

We went to 50's PT in Apr and the sundae came to the table already prepared. They did ask ahead of time what she wanted on it. I think there were a couple of sauces to choose from, as well as sprinkles and whipped cream.

I have not been to the other places you mentioned, but I'm sure someone else will be able to share their experiences from those places.

Have a fun trip!
