Kids' countdown chain

I couldn't keep our cruise a secret from the kids for too long. I knew they would be just as excited as I am about this once they knew, so I waited as long as I could. Not long enough. They ask me about it everyday. Someone suggested making a chain and tear off a link at a time. So, here's our tripchain.

I'm going to attempt to post a couple pictures of the countdown chain my sons made.

Here's my oldest ds writing the day, date and how many days left on each color coded link.

Here's the finished chain. Sorry about the haze. DD got a big old thumb print on the camera lens.
