Kids costumes at DL

Do little boys wear costumes to DL? I've seen pics of little girls wearing their princess dresses but what about boys? We'll be there the first week of May. What is the weather like? Will it be too hot for costumes? TIA

Currently, the weather is really nice. Not too hot nor is it too cool. I dont know about May though. California weather varies waay too much.

My son has always wore buzz at least one day and his disney themed shirts the other days. I have also seen woody and pirates.

We just got back and can tell you what I saw. The first day we were there - Thurs. EE there was a Star Wars storm trooper standing in the next line. I also saw a little boy with a sword (it was styrofoam) and shield. Too cute! He was playing as if he was defending his kingdom out in a walkway. If you son wants to dress up, let him do it. My only suggestion is for you to bring a change of clothing and put it in a locker to save a trip back to the hotel if he gets too hot or tired of wearing it. Have a great time!

Which buzz does your son have? Has he worn it in the Spring? My son has the Disney Store one and he got so hot that his skin was hot to the touch and I thought he was going to pass out. We live in a hot humid area but I'm guessing humidity won't be a problem there. Am I right?? He really wants to take it and wear it.

we have the one from the disney store, and it is too hot. We have a really old hand me down one from the resort (it was from TS1) that is all cotton, and not too hot for the spring. He wore the shiny one in the fall, but it might be too hot. You never know, it was sprinkling over the weekend. I would bring it anyway.

Thanks. Do the kids in pirate costumes usually wear the Jack Sparrow kind or just any kind of pirate. We have one, but not an official one.

I've seen Jack Sparrow, Buzz, Star Wars characters and Peter Pan quite often when there. They are all cute. But I wonder how comfortable those really are for kids, especially in the heat, kwim?
