My youngest will in all likelihood not be potty traiined by the time of our December cruise (big pout here). He will be three, however. His older sibling will be able to go and I think he will be quite sad to miss the activities because he's been watching the Disney DVD for months. Can I take him and stay with him for short period of time? I assume this is ok since I am not asking them to be responsible for him. Has anyone done this?

You are definantly welcome to take your nonPT child to the club and stay with them. There were several 2 & 3 yo kids who were accompanied by an adult in the morning when I took DS. I also went with DD the first time she went to the club so that she would get use to it while I was around. The CMs say that you are always welcomed in the club.

This is odd b/c I am not the logged in user. I am posting live from the Magic/day at sea in the Cove Cafe. It didn't give me the opportunity to log in. But here is what I think: There are family times in the club and many other times that parents hang around watching so I would think it would be okay to take the child, especially the first day. If your childis the "average" child (not special needs stc), the Club can be a great motivator for potty training. The first time I brought my DD (young 3) to the club, my plan was to go there every 2 hours to take her potty so there would not be accidents b/c she was not that good at independent pottying at that time (& the CM can't help).---cgc33a

Thanks for the heads up. He will be happy to know he can go. We have been using the clubs to motivate him but he just isn't ready yet (all you parents know what I mean). In fact, he tells us "Mickey will cry because I had an accident" so we don't want him to be upset by it all. As long as he can have fun we are happy.
