Does anyone know if you can check kids in and out of the clubs while on CC?

Thanks

Yes you can, you just have to check the "transition" times...Times when they allow sign in and sign out...Only when they are moving from activity to activity can you not.. :goodvibes

The kid programs are held on the island on CC. There is no programming on the ship during the specified hours. You can sign them in and out on the island just like you did on the ship. The only exception is the 15 minutes before and after lunch while they are relocating from the kid area to the lunch area and back again. There may be some other area changes as well. You are encouraged to visit them after 3-4 hours to reapply sunscreen. The counsellors can't do this.

Kids in the programming eat lunch before the lines open to other guests. There are kid only activities as well as family activities in the programming. There is water play, but no actual swimming or beach time near the shore.

We are Hoping CC will have it's stingray swim avaliable when we cruise. If so, DW and I would like to try it but our kids would definately not. So we would just have them in the club while we did that.

Thanks for the help

How old are your kids???
We took my daughter on a cruise at 3 1/2 and it went to Grand Cayman and took her on the sting ray visit. It was soooooo awesome. She loved it so much and we got some great pictures. She had on a life jacket and was with us and had no problems. What an experience.

The kid's club actually has a seperat pavillion where their food is set out. I found this out when I had to go there to meet the club & pick up my kids to eat lunch with us. They have chicken strips there like the ones on the ship. These were NOT on the main line at Cookie's. So if you have a kid like my DS who wont eat any of that other stuff, go on over at lunch time & get some chicken. ;) As you are facing Cookie's it is off to the far right. The back entrance to Scuttle's Cove is right behind the seating area.

DD is going on 12 and DS is going on 9. They both would be terrified. They freak out if they see a dog without a leash across the street. We have asked them also if they would get in the water and they both said a resounding NO.
If we do do it (if it's available on CC) I know even I will be a little freaked out probably.

I know no question is stupid but the one you don't ask, but I have to ask....
What is "bump" all about? I've seen it during other threads too, but I haven't been able to figure it out. Can someone please help? :rolleyes1

Yes, you can check in your kids at Castaway Cay. But, I must say . . . It was the lamest programming of the entire week. I had a DD6 and DS9 there and neither found the activities interesting. My DD did go for a bit, but she much preferred to play in the sand with us. I can't remember the activities for older kids. I was very happy for them to be with me and not checked in!

If there is something that you want to do without them, go for it, but I wouldn't want to leave them in the clubs all day. There are too many family activities on the island for everyone!

It is done simply to bump a thread up to the first page to get more responses. :)

My DS (9) had a great time with his club, the only thing that I was a little concerned about was there really wasn't much shaded area for them to take a little break from the sun.

We just made sure he had lots of sunscreen on, I went back a couple of times, and that he had a good hat on.

The only reason we would have them go to the club on CC is if the stingray swim is available when we cruise and if we do it. They would only be in there for that time period.

DD at a younger age was afraid of swimming in the ocean. I explained to her that she WOULD be going to the programming while I snorkeled, then I would get her our and we would have family time. It worked fine.

I agree that I'm not thrilled with the programming on CC...but I have seen it improve across our 12 cruises.

lbgraves thanks for the info on the chicken fingers. That was all my DS ate during out cruise. When we went to CC all he had was a hot dog, chips and half a cookie. I had to order chicken fingers from room service as soon as we got back on the ship. I will keep it in mind for our next trip.
