Am I reading correctly that kids club is now for over 5 year olds only?
and masks are required?

this could change my entire trip plans, I may go to Fiji instead of hawaii
im not against masks but I am against my kids wearing them and I don’t want to deal with this on vacation.
when we went before it was over 3yo if my 4yo can’t go with my 7yo I think we will skip hawaii

Yes, masks are required at Aunty's Beach House. Children must be 5-12 to hang out there.

I was there June 2022 and my daughter (6) wore a mask while at Aunty's. She didn't care at all. That was the only place during our Hawaii trip that she wore a mask.

You gotta do what is best for your family. It's all about them having fun.

I don’t think masks are required anymore. My kids were in there without masks unless they made them put them on and we didn’t know it.

Disney claims “the state won’t allow younger than 5 in now”. I think that is a load of horse manure. Disney is not paying the money to maintain the certification to allow younger children and I am sure like everywhere else manning issues. Another cost cutting measure IMO.

Agreed. We were there last month for Xmas. No mask requirement. Our 11 and 9 year old went daily.

It's listed on their website. Regardless, if my 4yo can't go then we don't want to split the kids up. She will be really upset if her sister can go and she can't.
Such a shame they changed it.
I guess I could still go to Aulani and not use the kids club, but it is one of the reasons for the big $$ so seems like I'm paying for nothing.

I agree with you about the kids club. It's a HUGE reason why people pay the Aulani prices. It is a bummer that Aulani raised the age to 5. They used to take younger kids. My wife and I travel with her mother regularly, so we can have alone time. If you don't travel with extended family, then the kids club is a necessity. That's my opinion on Aulani. Kids club makes it great.

yep, I mean I can still come to Hawaii and pay half the price to stay somewhere else and still have a great time, which is what I think we might do. Which is a little sad :(

Just curious if your 11-year found it to be a fun experience? We'll be there this summer and I would like to utilize it for an afternoon for our soon-to-be 11 year olds and am worried they might be a little bored. Do you recall what types of activities were geared for this age group? TIA!!!

It was posted on their Instagram recently. 4-12 starting March 12th. Their info isn’t totally updated everywhere since the fine print on the booking site still says 5-12. The Aulani site says masks are required but the fine print on the booking site says “An appropriate face covering is optional while participating in Aunty’s Beach House activities.”

I don’t follow their instagram
I’m actually glad I didn’t see it, I’m much more excited to go to Japan anyway now
