Kids Club Sign Up

Do you have to be checked in before your can sign up for kids clubs? I'm traveling with other families and wondering if I can sign our kids up for club slots together or if I need to wait until they've all completed their check in first? I'm assuming since I can see kids club in the onboard activities listings, I can sign up anyone whose reservation is linked to us at the 30 day mark? TIA

I can't speak to this exact situation, but I know in the past when silver and non-silver rooms were linked, the silver group couldn't book for the non-silver room. So we had 3 rooms with one PAT and the 4th room that had a different one, even though they were linked.

At 30 days, I was able to sign up kids who who are staying in a linked stateroom and whose parents had not yet started the online check in process.
