Kids club registration

Okay - I'm a little confused. I know that Flounders for the little kids you have to reserve a spot for, pay extra, etc. But I didn't think you had to reserve a spot for the other clubs - my kids are 7 and 4. But then, I'm reading in threads about standing in line to register kids for the kids' activities. So, I'm assuming they do need to be registered then???? We don't just show up for the activities they want to do????

The CMs on the cruise ship take great care of your children. Part of the process is to register them to make sure that the CMs know who are the parents or guardians that will be checking the children in and out from the clubs.

It is possible for older children to have check in and check out privileges, but for the moment let’s stick with the younger children's scenario which appears to be more applicable to your situation.

When you signup you will get a beeper so if for some reason you child needs your immediate attention you can go back to the club. For some it may appear to be excessive, but (and I know there have been exceptions) the system works very well.

You don't have to pay extra, but you do have to register your children so the CMs can be very effective at taking care of and tracking the movements of your children.

Registering when you first get on the ship is not that difficult and both of your children will be in the same club so it shouldn't be that big a deal.

You have to register them to fill out paperwork and the kids have to wear plastic wristbands with their info and you get a pager. You can then check them in and out whenever you please. It's just the first initial time. We did it right at the club around 2pm and had no wait. It's very simple. It's not a matter of being denied space, it's so they have all the childrens info.

Okay, so I'm not reserving a spot the minute we get there then so they will have a spot available the next day if they choose to participate???


I understand the pager setup and all of that. I just was kinda thinking that maybe they needed to know up front when they would be there each day. So, I'm assuming not then.

What exactly is the process if one of your children starts out in one age grouping and then is later switched to another (say >8 yrs) age griouping? Is there any kind of re-registering? It is just as easy to go in and out of the CLub/Lab if the child got rearranged? Anybody have this happen?

All they would have to do in that case is update their computer with the age group they are then assigned to. Very easy.

Your child's spot is saved for them when you reserve your cruise. When the age group in the kids club becomes filled they stop taking reservations for children that age. There is no rush to register your child, the space is there for them, but the paperwork needs to be filled out, the child gets an id bracelet and you have to get a beeper so they can reach you when they need you. We always go to the clubs after lunch because there is no line and it's taken maybe 15 minutes each time.

DISNURSE: You don't have to fill out additional paperwork when the kids switch clubs. Once you have a beeper and the information is in the system it's there. You do need to get a new id bracelet or card sticker but other than that the switch is easy.

You got it You can now register them in the terminal before boarding as well. They are given a wrist band & you are given a pager. If the wrist band gets lost or your child doesnt want it on outside of the club, they will print a new one when they go back to the club next time.

We registered at 1:00 and it took probably 1/2 an hour. Most of it standing in line. But this was before registration in the terminal.

Its probably worth knowing that filling out the paperwork and hearing the speil takes about 10-15 minutes - so don't show up two minutes before the event your kid wants to attend thinking they'll stroll right in. It also takes about two minutes to check younger kids in and out of the clubs after they are registered - if there is a line, a little longer. After the kids show, getting your kid checked out is more like a twenty minute process - so many kids are getting checked out then - and pagers are being returned, too - that its a zoo.
