When you first board the ship, do they provide you with an agenda for the kids clubs like exact times that events will take place? Can you bring your child in for just certain events or do they require them to stay for a certain period of time?
There is a navigator similar to the main cruise navagator for the kids club activities. There is a copy of one on Barb's site www.castawayclub.com. The navigator does list the speficic times for each activity and dinner times.
And the "requiring them to stay" depends on the ages - mine are 10 and 11, and could check themselves in and out at will, our rule was they were to have us paged with their new location, or leave a note in the room, and that worked great!
We have twin boys who will be six years old when we cruise in May. I really wanted to make sure that I could have them with us some of the time as well. I didn't want to have to check them into this club for any specific period of time, although I'm sure that they will probably want to be in the club all the time from what I am hearing
You do not have to check your children into the club for a specific number of hours each day. You can check them in and out as often as you like. If they only want to do a specific activity on a certain day then you just check them in for that activity and then check them out afterward. To make it easier on you the only suggestion I would make is that you are aware of where the activity is taking place. Some activities are held in different areas of the ship and they usually leave about 10-15 minutes before the scheduled activity. Otherwise you will have to take your children to the area where the activity is taking place. Like you said our biggest problem was DD did not want to leave until the place shut down. Have a great trip.
