I am not sure if i am putting this in the right place, but we are traveling with a 1yr old and 4 yr old. We where thinking of going to dinner at the Grand Floridan @ Narcoossee's and was wondering if there was something fun at this hotel for our 4 yr old while we eat a nice dinner. We are staying at the Poly.

yes, 4 is the age that a child can start going to the kid's club. There is one right on property at GF.You'll need to call and make reservations in advance. It is $11 per hour and they will give the child dinner. There is also a club at the Poly- Neverland club which is very cool- my nephew likes that one much better but at 4, I would keep them in the club at the hotel I will be dining at just in case.

We used the club at AKL last year when our GS was 6. Dropped him off at around 6:30, filled out paperwork while he started playing with a couple of other kids there. Had to select what he would be having for dinner from a kids menu, the meal is included in the price.
The security was VERY strict and we felt comfortable leaving him. Can't remember if we got a beeper/pager or not, pretty sure we did. We ate at Jiko which was about 3 doors down, so we weren't far. When we picked him up a few hours later there was about 8 kids there. I don't believe there is "structured" play, but there is a lot for them to do. After a day of sensory overload in the parks, he seemed relaxed and happy to be around normal, everyday activities.
Will be staying at the GF this Sept with him and will definitely use the kids club there for a night at Narcoose.
I probably wouldn't be comfortable dropping him off and venturing to another resort, that's just the grandma in me...:)

I always use the kids club(or at least my DD5 does);)

She loves them. they give you a pager....never went off.

Dinner is included in the price.....they serve it 2x I think....around 6:30 and
7:30. Regular kids menu fare.

the kids clubs are great...when my ds11 was younger he loved going to them, he loved the one at the poly! they feed them well too.....oh i dont think there is a kids club at the GF i think you have to use the poly or CR but you can just use the monarail to drop them off and pick them up.
