What is the kid's club at the WL like? What is the price per hour and child? Is dinner served?

I don't have kids so I can't offer personal experience, but I can answer your technical questions.

The Cub's Den is open from 4:30 until midnight daily. They offer video games, arts and crafts, Disney movies, toys and board games. The cost is $10 per child per hour with a 2 hour minimum per child. Dinner is served complimentary to those children that are in the facility between 6pm and 8pm (dinner is served between 6:30pm and 8PM dinner selections will be offered upon check in at the club and include Chicken fingers, PB&J sandwhiches, cheeseburger, hamburger or hotdog served with chips or fries). Children must be between then ages of 4 and 12 (and they must be potty trained).

My DD went to the Cubs Den last Oct while DH and I ate at Artist Point. She had a great time!!! There weren't that many children there when Allison was there (maybe 5 or 6), and she had colored some pictures for us! She got to pick what she wanted for dinner (chicken nuggets & fries) and made friends with one of the little girls there.

Allison was only there for about 1 1/2 hrs, but she really had a great time!!! Enjoy!

My niece & nephew loved it. I was a bit leary about leaving them there (but I needed a break! - I'm used to giving them back to their parents :p ) but they didn't want to leave when I came to get them. The staff was great; very nice and caring and they played with the kids which was nice. They aren't just parked in front of a video, which I liked. Kids have videos or book or computer games available, but the staff tries to engage them in crafts or coloring or games which is great. They actually did a lot in 2 hrs - and were thrilled that one of the pool lifeguards was also working there. He made them special pictures and we had to stop by and say hi to him at the pool each day after that. It made them so happy to have "friends" at WL!

Do they give the parents beepers and is there any way to watch the kids on a t.v? How do they put the parents at ease? I am a nervous parent of two.

My two girls (5 and 8) stayed there for a few hours last Oct when we took in the Food and Wine Festival. The staff couldn't have been nicer. No need to feel ill at ease at all. I do think they had beepers available but we had a cell phone so we just left them with the number in case of emergency. The girls had a ball.

My DD (now 5 1/2) has stayed there twice...once when she was 4 and once more when she just turned 5. She absolutely loved it and still talks about it. If it wasn't $10 an hour I would leave her there much longer, but as it is, I just drop her off around 5 pm so DH and I can have some cocktails at Territory Lounge and back up to the room for some "alone time" and then we pick her up and go out to dinner. This year we are staying at AKL and we hope she loves Simba's Clubhouse as much as the Cub's Den!

Yes, I *think* they have beepers, but we just gave a cel phone number.
