Can anyone give me a description of the club at the Yacht Club (I think it's the Sandcastle Club) ? My kids have been to the Neverland Club as well as Camp Dolphin in the past. How will this one compare?

Thanks.

My kids love the Sandcastle Club, it's a very l large area with arcade games, video games, big screen tv, arts and crafts, a separate room with dolls, stuffed animals and kids kitchen play things.

Here are some pictures
Sandcastle Club

My children like the Sandcastle club.

It is not quite the "event" that the Neverland Club is, (they have been there also and REALLY like it) the Sandcastle Club was a nice place for them to "kid relax"
My 61/2 year old son really liked - eating kid food, not worring about "grown up" manners, choosing what he wanted to do, playing some computer games - sort of a down time(meaning quieter and less demanding compared to parks and other dining options)
He actually asked to go there quite a few nights just for an hour or two. He could have dinner and play some games while my husband and I ate.

My daughter, 5 years old also likes it there very much. She likes the arts and crafts and dramatic play area. While she didn't want to go quite as often as her brother, she didn't mind going when we had an adults night out.

Also, we were there in summer and never found it crowded.
Hope this helps!

Also - FYI

Sandcastle Club is located in the Beach Club, it is just past the shop, on the way out to the Beach Club Villas.
This is what made it so handy for us, we were staying at BCV.

Here is another bit of info that will be unneccessary, but maybe funny. My husband ALWAYS calls it the Sandpiper Club, he says he thinks it's a better/cuter name. I think he just can't remember!

We often say we wish we had a Sandcastle/piper Club in our hometown! Maybe we would go out once in awhile...

My daughter loved the Sandcastle Club. She has been to both the Neverland Club as well as the Sandcastle and she enjoyed both.

Tammydel: You mentioned that you wish they had a Sandcastle Club in your area...I told my husband that it would be such a great business to start because we would love to use a service like that at home!!

Joyful: How was the experience at the Dolphin Club? We are staying at the Dolphin in January and was wondering how it compared to the other Kids Clubs?

Donna-

My kids really enjoyed Camp Dolphin. It wasn't as large and neat as I would have expected but the kids had a great time. I was surprised to find out after I picked the kids up that the counselors actually take the kids out of the club and down the hall (just a few doors down) to the hotel arcade which is open to everyone (they provide tokens for the games). I probably would have been a bit more nervous about that had I known upfront.

One thing I loved was that when they asked us where we could be reached, I mentioned we were having dinner at Shula's and they told us that you get 2 free hours per child if you dine there. So that saved us 40 some odd dollars at camp dolphin which after a $150 dinner for 2 at Shula's is a nice bonus!

My children also really liked the Sandcastle club, they were 6 and 9 last trip. They have asked to go again this Feb. and will be 8 and 11 !! Relaxing is the key word, it is what my kids liked. They still talk about it being "a night off our feet".

We did have such a club in our home town called "Robin's Nest", I think the owners name was Robin. Anyway it was awesome, she had a big indoor play structure, lots of toys and always a movie and craft going. When our kids were younger we could leave them there for 1-2 hours and go out to eat at a nearby resturant or the mall. It was a drop in place. Sadly, after 3 years she closed up, not sure why. I think it would be a demanding business what with the kids and the state regulations!

joyful-thanks for the great tip on Shula's and the 2 free hours of Dolphin Club!!!

What is the cost of Sandcastle Club?
Is there a way to make reservations for it?
Thanks, Linda

$10 per hour per child...call the WDW-DINE line to make reservations.

Does anyone know how stict they are on the age requirements and what so they require as proof of age. My kids just miss it by like a couple of weeks. Any info would be great.
