Hi I was just wondering if anyone has eaten at the Yachtsman Steakhouse with kids?? We have two boys 7 and 5 and I am wondering if it is a place that kids would be welcome in or is it too grownup and formal?? We are staying at the Yacht club and I thought we would like to eat there since we love steak?? Also if you have eaten there did you notice how many other people had kids with them?? Thanks.

DH & I went there on our anniversary, while my mother stayed with our DSs. I did however take note that there were kids of all ages in the restaurant when we were there(about 6:45-8:00). If I didnt have any babysitting options and I really wanted to eat there again, I wouldnt feel uncomfortable taking them with us(they are 4 & 7).

Thanks CamColt, My little guys are not use to being away from us much or I would go for a babysitter. I guess you could say they are my little Home Boys! It makes me a little less aprehensive knowing you saw plenty of little mousekateers there!!:earsboy: :earsboy:

square pond,

We have taken our guys, now 5 and 7, to the Yachtsman every time we go, which is at least once every trip.

The steaks there are EXCELLENT and I think you will enjoy it immensely.

Ask the waiter/waitress for the kids dessert--a mickey puzzle the kids paint themselves and eat--even the paint (colored sugar water) is edible. My boys now ask for this as their dinner.

Remember, you are at WDW--for kids of all ages, so take them and have a good time.

Doc and Family, I will definately ask about the puzzles! They sound great and my boys are puzzle fanatics. Thanks a bunch.
:D

We have 4 kids and we have gone several times. The whole family loves it!! The service and servers are great with the kids. The only problem we had was there was a rude couple next to us on our last trip there that forgot that we were in Disney. When they saw they were sitting next to us you would have thought my kids were dirty wearing bathing suits and screaming. Now I will be the first to admit my kids can be loud but they were being very good just coloring the sheet the waiter gave them. The women huffed and puffed and made remarks infront of us. Then of coarse DH had to get his revenge and started saying loudly oh that's right they forgot it was all started by a mouse and let's see this is Disney World where people bring their children. What upset us was they were moved to a nice table infront of a window and we think they recieved their meal free. We will return again and hopefully one trip they will be there again.

I'll tell ya why is it some people seem to forget WE WERE ALL KIDS at some point in our lives??? I would think if you are at Disney you must have a little kid living inside you somewhere!! I know I do and she isn't shy about showing herself!princess:
