I am planning out meals in advance and was wondering if kids are allowed at Cove Bar? TIA!

When we are at the cove bar there was quite a lot of kids personally I wouldn't take mine cos I enjoy sitting and taking it all in where if I had my son it would be rushed as he's autistic and doesn't like to sit for too long

One of the things I love about Disbryland is there isn't really anywhere inappropriate for kids, certainly within the parks, and we are always made to feel welcome with Rugrats, and odds on someone else's will be behaving worse than ours!

I love Cove Bar. One of my favorite places in DCA to relax. Their lobster nachos are great, as are their drinks.

Kids cannot sit at the bar itself but are allowed to sit at the tables. It is fun to people watch and you will probably have a great time.

Just remember it is called Cove BAR. You will see kids there, it is a fun atmosphere, and it is at a Disney park (so most are on their best behavior) but please remember a lot of adults go there to drink. And I don't mean 1 and done. The ratio of adults to kids is well over 50/50 (I would say 90/10) and the closer you sit to the bar itself the more adult conversations you may end up hearing. It is popular with the younger 20 somethings who may not filter their conversations for young ears, esp after a few strong fruity drinks with a group of friends. That is just the Cove Bar crowd some days.

This is not always the case. I have been there many times where it is fun for the whole family, I just want you to be prepared.

Helpful hint: Cove Bar normally has a line. If you get offended by the people in line, or notice several groups of young people ordering multiple drinks I would reschedule your visit. Also, the earlier you go the better it is for food, shorter lines, and the less likely you are to run into the rowdy crowd that likes to show up after 6pm.

Thanks for the info. We usually eat early in the evening so will get there early and try to sit away from the bar area.

Cove Bar changed operating hours and now opens at 10AM (previously 11AM).
The line to enter is near the original entrance (which is blocked by construction walls), guests are escorted in through Ariel's Grotto.

The construction to expand the Cove Bar has temporarily reduced seating (slightly).
Construction noise at 11AM yesterday (Saturday 12/5) was very loud.

Expanded Cove Bar now open

where do you enter? is this where the gazebo was?

The entrance is in the original location, just moved forward. The expanded seating is in the area formerly a character meet and greet gazebo.

I enjoy the Cove Bar but if I were taking children I don't think I'd go there. Like someone said above, it is a bar. I've been there several times (especially as the evening wore on) where it can get a little rowdy. There are lots of other options at DCA for kids.
