Just wondering how old are your kids and what activities are they in?

I have a DD that is 5 and in kindergarten, starting tommorrow on Monday and Wednesday nights from 5:30 to 7:30pm she will be in the "elite" program at her gymnastic center, 1-2 Wednesdays a month from 3:30 to 4:30pm she will have Daisies, and I am still thinking about having her in swimming classes one night a week later in the fall once I see how gymnastics goes.

DS 6 in first grade swims on Wednesdays, and is also in Cub scouts that meets one night a week on either Thursday or Friday nights.

I feel that I am a single mom every other week as my DH works second shift one week and days the other. DS will have to come with me when DH in on pms and DD has gymnastics. The gym really quiets down after 6:30pm so that is when we will work on reading and home work. I am giving this year to see how it goes, and will see about tuning things down next year if it becomes too much.

So what do your kids do?

DS13 is involved in German Club and gymnastics. In the spring he runs track.
DS3 is just in gymnastics right now. He's asked for computer classes and he just finished swimming lessons and Tots on Hardwood (a kind of basketball class).

DS is 5, he goes to karate twice a week. He is also interested in gymnastics, but I won't let him do more than one organized activity at a time (I just think it would end up being too overwhelming for him).

DD12 (8th grade) is on a year-round competitive swim team & practices 5 days a week (practices are 90-120 minutes each day) & has meets several weekends each month.

DS8 (3rd grade) is on the same swim team & practices 3 days a week...60 minutes each practice. When his group practices, DD12 helps coach this group. He has a couple of meets each month.

We practically live at this indoor pool. Each of us has about 10 pairs of flip-flops!!

Currently, DD6 is playing Pee Wee Soccer (practice on afternoon per week, games on Sunday), horseback riding, and, this week, she'll be starting Brownies. Personally, I'm exausted. She keeps finding other things to do, but DW says three is enough. Of course, before we finally found the local Brownie troop, two things were enough.

Elder son does soccer practice on Wedn. nights and the game is on Saturday.

Daughter does gymanstics Wed. afternoon.

Four year old does preschool three mornings, and only soccer on Saturday.

Both older children does the running club right after school together.

Later on, I would recommend have both of your kids do a program together, ie. piano, soccer, drawing, etc at the same class since their so close in age. That really HELPS!!

DD 10 does Soccer, 2 Practices a week. She also wants to take flute lessons but we are still in the process of trying to find an instructor.

My DD6 has cheer/dance on Tuesday for an hour, Wednesday CCD/PSR for an hour and Thursday tumbling/cheer for an hour.

On M W F DS4 has preschool for 12 to 3.
On M W DS4 has PeeWee soccer from 4 to 5
On one Friday a month DS4 has Family Time Fun program for 1 hour in the a.m. (it's an 'extra' with the preschool)

On M W my DS2 has Mighty Mites at the Y (toddler gym class and circle time) from 9 - 9:45

now my DS 6.5 months has drooling and cooing between 8 -12, snoring from 12 -2, and then revisiting drooling and cooing with a little bit of giggling from 2 - 4.

We try to keep the guys with only one organized sport/activity at a time, any more than that and I may be required to get a chauffer hat.

My oldest is in marching band. Practice in the fall are Mon- Fri 6:45 a.m. to 8 a.m. Monday evening practice 6-8, game performances every Friday until Nov. and various marching contests sprinkled over a few Saturdays. She has private lessons on Tues evenings from 5:30- 6:30, CCD and youth group on Wed evenings from 5-8. She also belongs to the Science club at school.

Middle child goes to karate Mon, Wed, and Thursdays from 7-9, attends CCD on Sunday a.m. She plays basketball in the winter and softball late spring and early summer.

Youngest goes to karate on Thurs from 7-8, CCD on Sundays and played t ball over the summer. I can pretty much count on him trying basketball this winter.

DS9 is on a year round swim team with 4 practices (75 min) each week, meets 2-3 weekends/month. He participates in community theatre (1-2 rehearsals/week) and has a weekly music class. In the winter he adds in chess club/24 club at school once a week. This is my child who does not enjoy downtime :rotfl: . I'm okay with it as long as he can keep up with school and still has play time with friends - that's important to me.

DS5 is starting soccer this fall. He'd like to do theatre, but I think he needs another year.

DS10(11 in three weeks)plays travel baseball January-September.They practice three times a week and play two or three weekends a month.September -November he plays football, practicing four times a week and playing every Saturday. From December through February he plays basketball for the local rec.Other than sports he has church on Wednesday.

DS8(9 next week)plays travel baseball, flag football, and basketball also. His schedule is very similar to his older brother's but flag football ends earlier. He also does church on wednesdays.

DD7 cheerleads for flag football, has gymnastics on Mondays for one hour, takes art lessons for two hours on wednesdays, and church.

DD2 takes gymnastics every Thursday for 45 minutes

DD7 has dance classes on Thurs and Friday evenings, Brownies Friday afternoons, and CCD Sunday mornings. I'll probably put her in swimming on saturdays when the next cycle starts at our local sports club.

When my daughter was 6, she was on team gymnastics and it was sooo rough for her being down there 3 hours a day, 4 days a week.

They wanted us to fly to meats in other states and stuff, and I couldn't afford it and it was too hard on my daughter who was just too young for that.

Now, we do almost nothing!

DS (12) has baseball practice 2-3 nights a week and has 1-2 games per wk. He also has youth group on Wed nights and two Fridays a month they have TGIF.

DS (9) has Cub Scouts every other Tuesday. Adventure Club on Wed nights, same time and place as DS (12). He will also start basketball in a few weeks. Also, has CCD 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.

my girls are 8 and almost 10, they cheer for their brothers football team. He is 13. It is all we can manage it is a 4 day a week commitment

My 6 year old daughter has Karate Tuesdays, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. Before Karate on Tuesdays she has Brownies. Wednesdays she has Irish Step Dancing. 2 Saturdays a month before Karate she has a program in the library she goes to. In the spring she also has softball practice and softball games.

My son is 14. He is in his 7th year of ballet. 2 hours a day Mon-Fri is the schedule and sometimes Saturdays. He would be lost without dance.

DS15 has football practice 3 hours a day every day after school, plus a heavy academic load. Once football season is over, he'll have weight lifting 3 days a week until track starts in the spring. He's also in Civil Air Patrol (when he can get there; never during football season) and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which meets one morning a week before school. This is the kid who wants to go to the Air Force Academy, so he's highly motivated.

DD13 has volleyball one evening a week plus Sunday afternoon, and children's chorus one evening a week (plus extra practices if they're doing something special. Last year they sang with the Baltimore Symphony). This is enough for her.

DD6 has soccer one evening a week plus games on Saturday. She doesn't want any more activities. She says she's busy enough. Once soccer is over she'll start church children's choir.

All three kids are on swim team in the summer.

Between all this and a full time job, I have more than enough going on.

My DD, 11 plays travel soccer year round for out town. She also made the Select team that will play in the summer. In the fall and winter she plays basketball and in winter to summer she plays lacrosse. Then she has 1/2 of saxophone lessons and art leassons.
