My DH and I usually take a short camping trip each year with out DD9 and we thought it was about time she got into the fun. (She has a Gramdma and me week while we're gone just in case anyone thinks we are horrible and just abandoning her. We come back and she has more new toys and clothes than at Christmas.
)
We have decided to take both her and her cousin (13 y/o boy) to FW before school starts back up. They are both pretty tough/out-doorsy kids so I am not to worried about them handling tent. What I am worried is that as much as DH and I enjoy camping, after days of wandering the parks, showering at the Comfort Stations, dealing with bugs, and NO TV, will the kids resent not having a hotel room to go back to? Is there enough to keep them occupied when we are not in a park?
Any advice or tips will be greatly appreciated.
BTW: did I mention we will be there in July...CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
