kids and rides

We will be going to disney next Nov with 3 2 1/2 year old and 2 adults. AT that age are they able to sit independently in most age appropriate rides or do they still have to be held on lap? Thanks

We brought DS shortly after his 2nd birthday, he sat next to us

DD was 2 1/2 in on our Feb. trip and she sat next to us on all rides. In the theaters she sat sometimes on our laps and sometimes in her own seat. I think as long as they have an adult next to them they will be fine. Quite a few rides you could put the adult in the middle and a child on either side.
