Kids and 'ohana dinner

Has anyone been successful getting some alternative "kids food" at 'ohana? My son is unfortunatelya chicken tenders/macaroni and cheese kind of kid, and I'm worried we will need to get him a second dinner after eating at 'ohana. TIA!

A couple years ago we went to Ohana and were able to order my then 3 year old a grilled cheese sandwich with fries. But be warned, the kids meal was super expensive (I don't remember how much but I remember being shocked!!). But it kept her satisfied and avoided complaints so I guess it was worth it LOL!

My kids (1.5 and 6.5) were offered nuggets or a hot dog, and maybe a kids burger (I can't remember exactly sorry!) when we were there last fall without us even asking. There were several tables around us with kids who had other kids meals served to them. My kids were happy to eat the regular food so we declined.

Definitely ask - I'd be surprised if you were turned down.

That's because a child pays the set child price whether they eat the adult food or not. That said, Disney isn't in the business of having kids go hungry & will bring grilled cheese or chicken nuggets if requested. I think there's a special brownie dessert for kids, too.

I've seen pics of mac and cheese there as well as chicken tenders (in addition to the other kid selections mentioned above). Ask for what you want and you will very likely get it. It is AYCTE and they will bring kid food for the kiddos too. Hoping I can get some mac and cheese and have my kiddo eat the meats with it for some protein.

They also have a brownie with marshmallow cream and m&m's for the kiddos. I have read this is brought without being asked. Of course they are welcome to bread pudding as well.

We were there end of January 2016 and without us asking, the server offered chicken tenders and French fries for my then 3 year old. He ate some of that and some of the typical 'Ohana menu. We didn't stay for dessert so I don't know what would've been offered then. We were charged the set child's price.
