Does Magicband+ come in a kids size?
All our Magicbands are for adults and now we are travelling with a 2 year old, are child ones available to purchase?

It’s just the regular magic band. You remove a portion to make it “kid size”. Honestly, I would not trust a 2 year old with a magic band. My 4 year old struggled with wearing one on our last trip and wanted to take it off most times. I was also paranoid he’d lose it - even with an extra safety clip thing (forget what they’re actually called - bought a big pack off of Amazon)

What the previous poster said as far as kid sizes. Also, unless something has changed the 2 year old doesn't need a ticket so they don't need a magic band unless you just want them to have one. But if you do by all means, DD loves hers and likes wearing it around the house sometimes, and now that she's a little older we let her.

I also would not trust a child that young to wear one by themselves. We got one for DD when she was almost 3 and then we went on another trip when she was 3 and a half. She would 100% have lost it because she would have wanted to take it off to wash her hands, adjust it, "look" at it, etc. Instead we carried hers in my pocket and when it was time to tap in at a ride, if there were not people waiting, we would hand it to her and let her hold it up to the scanner. Same thing at the room, it became her "job" to open the door at the resort whenever we got in and that suited us just fine.

At the time the 50th anniversary statues were around and we would also hand it to her if we stopped to look at those so she could wave it and trigger some of the interactive stuff. I think the only time she actually wore it was in Haunted Mansion after the stretching room because she noticed ours were glowing and pulsing and she wanted to experience that too. Once we were in the carriage it went right back in my pocket.

There is no need for a 2yo to have any sort of band as their admission to the parks is free. (It’s been a very long time since my dd was under 3 but if your child needs something, they will give you a plastic card for that child.)

My wife is thin but not in an abnormally skinny way, and even she thinks the MagicBand+ is too chunky for her wrists. I would use a MagicBand 2 for a child, or just skip it entirely.

My daughter is notorious about losing Magic bands...one in the Epcot space playground right before her 4th birthday, one at the Poly pool when she was 4.5 and one who knows where (may have dropped it out of the stroller). Disney found 2/3, and the one that we permanently lost was one of the old free ones. I wouldn't buy a Magicband for a child under 3 personally, since they don't need one. We only have the older Magic bands, so if the Magicband+ is bigger, I would be especially wary.

I wouldn't waste money on a MB+ for a very young child. If you have any old free ones, or maybe you can find an old one for cheap online, let the little one wear that. But the MB+ is too expensive for a toddler who won't really be able to use it properly. Just my opinion.

Just seconding the need for the magic band locks/clips that are sold on Amazon. On our daughter's first trip, she lost her magic band literally two minutes after leaving the resort on the first day. We bought the locks for our next trip, and they've worked great.

As others have said, a 2 year old doesn't need one and it wouldn't do anything if you bought one for her since she can't have a MDE account or have it linked to her. If you are not using one of your old ones, they can be made into child size (though they may still be too large for a 2 year old, you can peel part of the band off to make it smaller), and she could use it. Bit bands are available on Amazon, I recommend them for kids and anyone who uses one of the MB+. They tend to fall off easily. I would have lost mine a few times without it.
